Beitzell Fence Company

Review: Beitzell Fence Company installed a fence in April, 2013, at a cost of $2170. The fence was not built in compliance with the specifications written in the contract. I paid them, with the understanding that they would come back and fix the problems. I am not asking for my money back; just that they send someone out, as promised, to fix the problems. They were asked to put in a new fence, exactly as the old one, with the same type gates and less spacing. They did not do that. They were specifically told to make the spacing between the boards 2" wide. They did not do that. I can now see inside my neighbors' yards even more than I could with the old fence. I have also had difficulty getting in and out of my yard because I cannot operate the locks they put on the gates. They sent one of their workers out to look at the fence and he agreed that there are problems that need fixing. To date, I have not seen or heard from anyone. I called quite a few times, but have met with behavior I consider stalling tactics and, at times, outright rudeness. As I explained to [redacted] Beitzell, their owner with whom I had contact in the beginning, I do not want to make this issue about the money, but about the job being done correctly, in accordance with the specifications to which they agreed in the contract.

I paid via credit card and on June 11, I contacted the bank who said they would give me a temporary credit for the amount paid and they would contact the company. The understanding is that I will contact the bank, as soon as the company has come out to fix the problems. To date, no one from Beitzell Fence has responded. Last time I called, they put me on hold and left me there for a very long time until I became frustrated and hung up. When I called again, I went to their Voice Mail. I left a message but, to date, no one has called me.Desired Settlement: To have this problem resolved quickly so I can move on.

Review: I have been in contact with Bietzel Fence for months with verbal and email commitments from [redacted] Bietzel that our newly installed fence would be repaired. Each commitment by her has failed, and my fence is still in need of repair. She continually says someone will be out to repair it, and no one comes. The only repair that was done was done wrong, and warped the board because it took so long to get someone here to repair it. Instead of fixing it correctly the repair person just left. It has been MONTHS since anyone has been here to fix it, and now there are additional problems and I am receiving no responses from the company. This is my last attempt to get the company to repair the fence they installed before I have to file in small claims court.Desired Settlement: I want my fence and fence gate repaired timely before things get worse, as they have already begun to. If this does not happen by the end of the month I will be forced to file in small claims court.

Review: We had a fence installed by this company about 6 years ago. Since then there have been many problems with the fence. We hired them again to fix and repair the damage. A check was sent to the company and they cashed it right away. We kept calling to set up an appointment and it was scheduled for July 16, 2014. The owner, Karen B[redacted] called us and said they could not come out and rescheduled for July 16, 2014 between 12 and 3 PM. On that date they did not show up and we called to find out why and Karen said in a snippy manner that our appointment was the second one of the afternoon and that they were running behind. She said they would call when they were coming that afternoon. NO show, NO call. After a couple of phones calls from us again, the lady who answered the phone said that Karen would not be working with us again and that she was now in charge of our requests. She proceeded to set up another appointment for July 22, 2014 between 12 and 4 PM. Again, NO show, NO call. We called and left a message and they did not return our calls. We have lost a large amount of our time and money from sitting around waiting for these people to do the work they promised. 2 lost days of WORK! We are fed up!!

We actually sent them customers throughout the years and then they just don't care!Desired Settlement: We really want the fence fixed. we want either our money back or 1/2 off the work that was supposed to be done and the job finished!
