I am rejecting this response because: The water damage exclusion does not apply when the service person from BelAir actually disconnects the pump and does not reconnect itThis is a negligent actThe repair person was in there for the spring check up under the service agreementThe condensate pump did not malfunction before, we did not ask it to be repaired but it was disconnected anywayThe service check list even notes the condensate pump as an item the repair person dealtwith We maintain our damage claim and maintain that the exclusion in the general conditions of the service contract does not apply for this situation.Regards,

I previously had Bel Air Engineering for HVAC contract service in the Prince George's area of Maryland for 5 years before moving out of state. The service has always been professional and the technicians who came always called ahead and arrived within the time frame given. They do a Spring and Fall check of the system, replacing filters and making sure everything is working fine. The only downside is that the time frame they give is a little long (8 am - 1 pm) (1pm - 6 pm) so it's hard to stick around for that length of time.
The HVAC system in my old house started to break down, and Bel Air technicians did a thorough job of trying to repair it, even getting parts that would fit the retro 1960s HVAC system that we had.
We ended up buying a new HVAC system from Bel Air Engineering and had no problems with the system in the 1 year that it has been installed.

We went out and LOOKED at the job and said we could not help her, that is what that invoice is for. We don’t do that kind of plumbing. Do not have the equipment to do so.
WE DID NOT DO WORK FOR THE WOMAN!!

I am rejecting this response because:
It is true, they came out and looked at the job [redacted] (their master pumber) did. The saw the extent of the damage and said they would get back to me. I had to call them several times after that to see what they were going to do to rectify the damage. I was very rudely told that they "were not getting involved". I believe this is because Mr. B[redacted] gave me a receipt, which I faxed to you, that was labeled "[redacted]." and did not say Belair Engineering. I think this is how they are trying to get out of paying for the damages. They called me repeatedly on July 1st and 2nd asking for payment. Why would they want me to pay them if they did not do the work?

Review: I called Belair Engineering to get my kitchen sink changed to a stainless steel one and to add a garbage disposal. They had their master plumber [redacted] contact me and come out to do these things. He showed up an hour late at 3:30pm on June 30th, left twice for 1 and 1/2 hours each time supposedly to get parts he did not have, upon return told me he stopped for lunch, then dinner respectively, repeatedly took phone calls where he stopped working on my job to discuss other jobs, one time sitting in his van on the phone for 30 minutes, did not measure my sink hole, made a mess of caulk on my deck outside from rinsing off caulk on the sink which he did not properly measure for, cut the countertop with a sawsall, did not measure when doing this, cut the hole too big and jagged, gouged my backsplash and window frame, wanted to go home around 9pm and leave me with no sink at all and a huge mess of sawdust and caulk absolutely everywhere, told me if I wanted him to stay and put the sink in I'd have to pay extra for all his troubles, after installing the sink I asked if he had a shop vac and he did not. At that point he took the sprayer from the faucet and pulled it down under the sink cabinet and started squirting the sawdust into the hole in the foundation under the sink where the pipes come out, getting the sink cabinet all wet. I told him to stop and he laughed like it was a big joke. He gave me a 950.00 bill for his labor only, as I supplied the sink and the disposal. There is no electric for the disposal and he originally said he would have an electrician from Belair engineering come right after him that afternoon to hook up the electric. This never happened after all his phone and lunch and dinner breaks of course. I complained to him about the bill b/c he was charging me for his lunch and dinner breaks and phone breaks as if they were labor on my job and they were not. He said he could lower the bill to 900.00 but that is all b/c Belair Engineering wouldn't allow him to go any lower. He left at midnight and I stayed up all night cleaning up the huge mess both inside and out. At 9am that morning he was knocking on my door b/c my credit card did not go through since his bill was so expensive I didn't have enough room to charge that much. I ended up telling him I would send him a money order and pay in increments. He repeatedly called me asking me when would I send it and saying he happened to have a job right around the corner from me and he'd be by to get the money. I sent him a money order for 250.00 on July 2nd, to his home address as he requested. On july 3rd I realized the sink was leaking around the edges b/c he cut the hole too big and there is a hole in the back right corner of the countertop, also leaking water. I called Belair engineering on July 3rd and complained and they told me he does not work for them. I called MDLLR on July 7th and told them what happened. They called Belair Engineering 3-way and asked if he works for them and Belair Engineering said "yes he does". So when the Md state board calls, he works for them but when I call, he doesn't work for them. With the state board on the line, Belair said they were already aware of the situation and that they wanted the balance of their 900.00 bill. I said that had I realized the sink was leaking sooner, they wouldn't have gotten any payment whatsoever and that [redacted] did much more damage than good. Belair said (still with MDLLR on the line) they would come take a look at the problem but couldn't get out until Wed July9th. I told them I have water traveling and doing further damage and they said July 9th. In the meantime I am trying to limit the use of my kitchen sink b/c of the leaking water. They came on Wed and took pictures and left, telling me they would make a decision on Thursday July 10th. After I had to call them, they told me they had not yet made a decision. On Friday I called again, July 11th and I was very rudely told that "Belair engineering is not going to get involved b/c [redacted] does not work for us". And that they did me a "favor" by "referring" him to me.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the 250.00 that I paid via money order. In addition I would also like new countertops since the laminates are ruined by both the deep scratches the sawsall caused, the hole being too big and the water causing the laminate to swell all around the sink hole. That countertop is ruined. What's more, I would like matching countertops, since they matched when he first arrived, so all of the countertops need replaced. I would like a new 30 inch sink cabinet since the water has damaged that cabinet after waiting almost two weeks for them to make a decision to "not get involved". I would like new flooring in the kitchen b/c the water has seeped out from under the sink cabinet and underneath the laminate flooring and caused it to buckle very badly. Also I will still need electric for the disposal, as it doesn't work at all since there is no power for it and there was supposed to be at the end of the day on July 30th.
