Been with Bel - Air for about 6 years now and some how ive been quoted different prices for the same coverage on the same vehicle days apart... this company raises premiums instead of lowering with more experience as a driver. This company should be ashamed of themselves and work better towards customer satisfaction instead of trying to make money back because of COVID-19...

i've been with bellair for 7 years, never once claimed during that time. april 2019 I was in an accident with a drunk driver, I called to report the accident and provide the police report. I didn't receive any contact after this, I had to call to ask about my claim and was told I wasn't to be spoken to regarding the details because I wasn't authorized on the account (but you can insure me?) this didn't make any sense nor did they contact the policy holder regarding the claim.
my second issue came about during my physio, when it came time for bellair to review my income replacement - suddenly all contact has stopped between my insurance rep and I. i've tried contacting them through their website to let them know i've had several ignored calls and emails to my insurance rep and still received no response. I had to completely stop my physio due to being unable to pay for travel to and from the clinic nevermind my bills. they requested previous pay stubs and even had my physio therapist ask me personal questions regarding my health (that don't relate to the car accident). what i've learnt from my claim is how poor their service is and how little help they actually give you when put in such a situation. they're quick to raise rates but refuse to assist in income replacement for their clients.

I have no interest in communicating with the same Insurance rep who ignored me for 3 months straight, if I could have someone reliable assigned to my case I will gladly speak to them.

My 2019 *** was stolen from driveway in Etobicoke Oct 11, 2019. About 3-4 wks later, I get a call from a police officer that the vehicle has been recovered in a container at a port in ***, Quebec. After the police completed fingerprints, the insurance company sent completed an appraisal and came up with an estimated damage cost. Belair direct is refusing to have the car repaired and returned to me at my home address. It has been 3 months and 1 week since the car was taken away from me. I have 3000 for rental coverage but Belair has canceled the car rental coverage before my car can be returned to me.

Desired Outcome

I would like Belair Direct to repair the damage to my car and return it to me at my home address on their system.

Policy *** Belair Insurance Company Inc., I was a customer for 4 months, called to make a claim and was informed that my insurance was cancelled. *** I was able to find out that they sent a registered letter, I had never received such a letter. I contacted Belair Direct to see if they could tell me who signed for the letter but they would not disclose the information and just stated that since they did not receive the registered letter as being returned to sender that it was received by the correct party.

Desired Outcome

I would like my car fixed or replaced, *** their policy so it states that they are able to cancel anytime without any notice.

Based on the issues disclosed by the customer, we have addressed all of their concerns and we consider the matter resolved.

IV contacted my insurance company multiple times I was in an auto accident that was not my fault in California in my girl friends car and her insurance company *** has been helping me alot so far but at this point they require me to go with my own insurance company as although I stay by her house once and a while we aren't considered common law or anything *** refusing to take over my claim *** and refering me to my *** auto insurance who can not proceed as it is my insurance company responsible for the accident benefits I am entitled to nothers my adjuster *** is *** benefits I am entitled to my insurance company I pay monthly *** giving me my benefits it's been over 4 months *** iv been given multiple *** promises of a call back which iv never recieved from *** or any of the people she's promised to have give me one and I need my case settled *** can not currently work and I need this problem sorted out I pay for insurance *** I need this processed in a timely manner

I need my accident benefits Rd requested Belair direct to take control of my case 3 weeks ago and *** has refused and keeps sending me to my *** insurance when she needs to take over the file she says she's looking into it telling me to go to *** never did *** anyone tell me that why it's so important for my relationship status but all I need is my case to be fixed and sorted out properly I also need a new adjuster

I'm in Windsor Ontario. I had previously had BelairDirect Insurance for home and auto. I was paying about 260 per month for the auto portion of my insurance.

I waited a long time to take my test for my G license and failed. I shouldn't have been failed on it. They gave me an extension on the license so I could retake the test, and that time I failed legitimately, probably due to nervousness.

Belair cancelled my insurance as they're obligated by law to do, so no blame for them on that. However, when you lose your license due to those circumstances you go back to being a "new driver" after you rewrite your G1 test. Then Belair informed me they'd be charging me 340 per month for insurance. They explained that by Ontario law they had to consider me a new driver.

I wasn't born yesterday. I'm sure the insurance companies lobbied the government some time back to pass that regulation so they'd have an excuse to charge people in that same circumstance more, but that's all of them not just Belair, and I'm not blaming them for that either.

What I AM blaming them for is this. When they sent the documents for me to fill out I called and got an agent to walk me through filling them out so I wouldn't make any mistakes, since it was already going to take "up to 17 business days" to process my application.

She walked me through and I filled out everything she told me I had to fill out and didn't fill out what she told me I didn't have to fill out. Now they've sent them back saying that I didn't fill out a couple sections that needed to be filled out.

A little more background. Last year I put the insurance on "snooze" for 45 days but then after ten days restarted it. I understood I'd have to pay a couple hundred more for the next couple months so they could recoup what they'd temporarily lost because a bill had already come to me just before I restarted it early.

When I got a THIRD bill for 120 more than I'd been paying and called to complain noting that a rep had told me the 120 more was just for a couple months to fix the discrepancy of having taken it off storage insurance early, they said "Oh no, no, the bill stays this way until you renew".

I asked if they could find the conversation I'd had with the previous agent who explained it would only be that way for a couple months and they said they couldn't, even though they record all their calls and of course they could have.

I put it back on storage for a while to avoid paying their ridiculous charges and then lost my insurance when I became unlicensed.

I believe what they're doing now is a *** campaign because I dared to pay them less in a way that irked them.

Now I'm employed, need insurance so I don't need to get a ride to work and take a cab home, and this is what they do.

I was advised by an insurance broker that this is the sort of thing a company does when they decide they don't want someone as a client and informed the customer relations representative from Belair about this. I suggested that in the future when they have a situation where they take 17 business days to process a request for insurance and the customer has called in to have an agent make sure they fill out everything needing filling out, if there is a mistake they need to just fill it out over the phone with the customer's say so (if it's not something requiring a signature).

That would be a resolution to this issue. I don't know if they've implemented this practice yet but I'll take the representative at his word that they're working on it. I've gone on to another company through a local broker however.

I recently got into a car accident. Car a total loss *** 2013. My insurance policy covers a rental vehicle until a settlement is made and I have received my cheque in the mail. Belairdirect is refusing to covery rental until I receive the cheque in the mail. They had previously provided me this service with my vehicle which was a total loss by an accident involving a deer. They provided me with a rental until I received my settlement in the mail. I have no second vehicle I live in the country, my work is a 30 minute drive. They provided me this service and for what ever reason this time I am being denied this service and courtesy. I need to have a vehicle until I receive my settlement cheque.

Desired Outcome

I would like Belair to provide me with the same services they have given me in the past. My insurance coverage has not changed I am still entitled to the same treatment as before. I am being *** by the rental company, and I need this resolved today! *** I will return the rental the very same day I recieve my cheque in the mail.

I am currently sitting with a bill from *** rental car for almost 600$ ***! I have not been emailed or contacted by them nor have they paid for the rental which is covered in my insurance claim. ***I expect the reminder of the rental to be covered and paid directly to *** rental car. I was able to stike a deal with the car dealer that I could assume owner ship of my new purchased car before I made payment so that I was able to return the rental car asap before I recieved my portion of the settlement which was deposited into my account today. This matter is not resolved. And I would like an answer as to why they have *** about resolving this matter?

BELAIRDIRECT RAISED MY INSURANCE $60 PER MONTH, NO CLAIMS, NO TICKETS... JUST BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO, AND WHEN I COMPLAINED THEY ENCOURAGED ME TO GO TO ANOTHER COMPANY... WOW

so I have 2 bank accounts as I have been slowly transferring away from *** to *** so I have been sending money to that to pay for my car insurance and I been trying to contact them or even log into my online account to make changes to my billing but the service never worked when I tried so this month they tried to take out money for car insurance to which my bank didnt have the funds so the bank charged me a nsf fee which makes sense because they money was not there but subsequently belairdirect decides to take advantage of the situation and charge me a 40 dollar fee also which is crazy and unfair this is bad practice and they told me theirs not even like a 1 time chance they can wave the fee which is unfair and bad business practice I could of went with different insurance companies for a cheaper monthly rate but I went with this company for better service in which I am not receiving, not in my live chat not in the process of changing my banking information. this company should not be alloud to charge me the fee which can not be reasoned even as a first time experience its just bad business and not how a big corporation should treat their customers they should be able to make acceptions to these crazy unnecessary fees

I completed an online insurance quote and received a price of $2102. After researching and comparing several quotes and coverages I decided that based on the information Belairdirect represented to me that I would change to them as my insurance provider. I submitted the insurance purchase online and entered in all of the information that was required, which included my banking information for withdrawal of funds.

The next day I received a call stating that my quote was inaccurate and the cost would be instead be $2522. This was because my vehicles are primarily at two different residences. I have a unique circumstance as I own the car my mother drives and I have to be the primary insurance holder on that vehicle as it is in my name. We both live in different houses and because of that the multi-vehicle discount doesn't apply. This was egregiously misrepresented to me with the quote I received. That quote should have taken this information into account. If accurate information cannot be provided than the company should not try to take guesses at what it will cost to insure a new customer.

The fact that this discount is based on the location of the cars is asinine. Both cars are owned by me and therefore should be able to be on the same policy and receive the multi-car discount. The insurance agent even confirmed that the location of the vehicles made no difference in price as they are in the same neighbourhood. It was simply because they were not at the exact same address so the discount is not applicable.

Desired Outcome

I believe the company should provide the price that was offered to me originally. They falsely represented the price and then retracted it after I had made arrangements to discontinue my current insurance coverage. I also believe that the if the company chooses to provide detailed information online that potential customers use to make important decisions then they should ensure that it is 100% accurate. In addition, the fact that payment information was collected in this transaction makes it appear to be final. Payment information should only be collected at the end of this process if the company is going to misrepresent their pricing.

I got a quote, and signed up for auto insurance. The company made so many errors during the sign up period.
The talked about my mom being a co-owner, and the rate would be higher. I removed my mom from car ownership, and they still considered her to be part of the insurance even tho she is no longer an owner, and she doesn't have the same address as me. I contacted belair to find a resolution, and each person would provide a different response. One person would say you don't need this document, for another person to request it.
the price we agreed on was 1580, and now it went up to 2025 ....

Desired Outcome

If the company is unable to provide an explination of why my mother needs to be considered as part of my insurance if she is no longer an owner, and she doesn't live in my address. Doesn't have access to my car either.

I was solicited from Belairdirect to insure my vehicle as a previous client from Canadian Direct Insurance whom they bought out. Now 4 mos. later in mid January they want a 20 years claims history and drivers abstract. I have nothing to hide but it smacks of negative billing that companies pull off. I never had a problem with Canadian direct insurance but Belair was quick to scoop up their business and offer the same no hassle insurance.

Claims Experience Letters/Claims History Reports provide us a snapshot of your driving history. We request 20 years of history as a way of offering you the best possible premium. Occasionally we do request new documents to ensure our records are up to date and accurate.

I bought travel insurance from them while I was traelling to california *** and they claimed it would include the road side assistance and support if car is damaged they will provided replacement service, When My car's window glass was broken by burgalr I called them for assissting me with other travel arrangement as I didnt buy any isurrance from car rental company they refused to give any claim on that stating that it was rental car and is not covered. *** I clearly told the agent that I woild be renting the car, This *** my travel plan and I have to pay for the damages. I called them and no resolution, they told me an complaint officer will call and they never called me. I blocked their payment and they cancelled their policy I want to pay back to them upon succesful resolution of compaint but no reply from them and they are *** to report to credit bureu, how long they can make customers fool.

We made multiple contact attempts (November 3, 6, 7, 17, 21 & 27) however did not hear back from the customer. A letter has been issued to the customer regarding their concerns.

So I recently was involved in a non at fault accident with my 2013 *** and when apraiser apriased the car it was a repair I had bought the car from dealer as a used certified vehicle paid top dollar also got highest warrenty possible from *** on the park dealer and now the insurance is saying they only will cover after market parts my car has 79,000km mint condition kept clean! with original parts no previous accidents and now they tell me they wont fix it back to the way it was except fix it with after market parts I am not even at fault they say their policy states only after market parts will be used... but when I was getting insurance with them no where did they tell me that before getting insurance with them *** i
