7-22-16    In response to this complaint, I want to start by stating that I have bun in business for 38 + years and I have always taken pride in my work and my number one concern is making sure my customers are happy. In regards to this particular project, I went way beyond what I had...

contracted, all of which was at my expense.    As you can see in the contract, I was responsible for replacing the shower, cabinet, countertop, mirror, lights, tile floor, wood panel, electrical outlet.    Here is a list of what I actually did in addition to what is listed in the contract. The existing shower was fiberglass and was supposed to be replaced by a fiberglass shower. Unfortunately there was not enough room to install. My superintendent said it would cost additional to have a tile shower and that it would additional two weeks longer. They said it was ok they did not pay me extra for the tile shower. I also installed a new shower door at my expense.    I tore out two walls and reframed with 2x4's ,new water lines , drains and drywall to replace the old wood paneling. I installed wood base board, a new door, frame, trim and everything was finished and painted. I also installed a wall cabinet, tile base, one side backsplash all of this was at my expense and not in the contract.    Now in regards to the toilet issue. This is an old mobile home, built in the 1950's with out dated plumbing. When we moved the wall, the toilet would not fit so we replaced it and the pipe leading to the septic tank. The new toilet was cracked and I replaced it again. The customer had a previous problems with the toilet due to the plumbing and the septic of which I had nothing to do with. All of these add-ons were at my expense and I took a loss on this job. I was trying to please the customer and give them what they wanted.    I as very surprised by this complaint because the last time I talked to then they told me they were very happy with the work and they loved the results. This happened after we completed the work and they paid the final payment. They came to my home around the first week of July , and told me they had tried calling me but I was not aware of this . I had no messages on my phone. They told me everything was great except for one light that was blinking. A few days later I replaced the light fixture again at my expense. It turned out it was not the light fixture causing the problem , it was the bulb.    I am a general contractor, I do most of my own work but I do use sub contractor for some plumbing and electrical issues. This is completely within the norm for contractors. I was physically present at this residence everyday to over see the work.SincerelyJohn D. L**

Review: We hired European Closets (run by [redacted] and [redacted]) to fix our bedroom closets. We hired them to put up new shleving and new sliding doors. After signing the contract, it was all downhill. First, it took forever for them to call us back to schedule a date for installation. After the date for installation was scheduled, the staff showed up to our apartment 3 hours late. When they finally got to the apartment, I noticed the color wood of the materials was not the color we requested. We had to then schedule them to come another day with the proper color materials. When the second installation date was scheduled, once again the staff showed up 3 hours late as they "forgot" to write down the appointment in their book. This time, the color of the wood was correct, but they incorrectly measured the door frame. Once again, we had to schedule another date for them to return with the proper size door. On the third installation date, they were only 2 hours late, which I guess was an improvement. After this, we thought we were all set. However, a few days after the doors were finally installed and we thought we were through with the company, the door came off of the track. Once again, I had to miss another day of work to be home so the staff of European Closets could come fix the door. Now, once again, the door has fallen off. I've just about had it and want at least a partial refund.

This customer ordered custom closet interiors in cherry color by mistake, thinking this is candlelight wood.( Copy of the signed contract with cherry color indicated is attached)We delivered closets, then took them back recut in another color, delivered and installed again with no extra charge. This took an extra day. On the first day of installation it took us an extra hour to get from [redacted] to [redacted] because of heavy traffic that day on I-495.

lt took another day to finish installation because door opening was not square and doors had to be recut. Our work is custom and as a result, may require more time to insure customer satisfaction. (This is stated in the attached signed contract, paragraph 4)

All our installations come with life time warranty. For different reasons doors twice came off the track. Both time our repair crew was dispatched and repairs were made. After the second repair was done on July [redacted] our service manager have called customer and confirmed their satisfaction. Sincerely,
