I signed a contract with Belfor to rebuild my garage and repair the damage that was done by a tornadoThe contract was signed almost a year agoI'm having trouble getting them to complete the repairs in a timely manner and correct the mistakes that were doneNow, I am being charged for things that weren't completedThe associate has told me that they will not remove the things from the estimate that weren't completed because they did "extra" work for me elsewhereI've asked for an itemized bill and to only be billed for the services that were doneThere have been many items that have been changed on the estimate, but I have not been asked to sign any change orders to agree with theseI have asked to speak with a manager, but have not received a callI have called manager myself twice and have received no response

To whom it may concern, As stated in the compliant this is an insurance loss and as such we are required by the carrier to follow specific instructions This loss occurred as a result of a damaging wind storm that affected a very large area of central Virginia We were
inundated with numerous losses from many insurance companies during this time I agree that our ability to constantly communicate with this customer and complete tasks was hampered as a result However, Jessica, Steve and myself spoke with the owner many times We tarped the home quickly after being notified that the trees had been removed, by another company, to prevent additional damage from water intrusion We demoed the badly damaged detached garage/shed and placed what salvageable contents, which remained, under a tarp in the back yard for the owner to inspect as directed We collected debris from the structure, contents and trees and placed it in the dumpsters We filled and emptied two dumpsters while doing this The larger tree debris needs to be removed by the tree company that that took the trees off the home originally This issue was to be handled by the claims adjuster. The repairs to the home have been hampered by the need for Dominion Power(DP) to disconnect the power line from the house DP has been contacted and we are waiting for the date that the disconnect will take place It is adjacent to the chimney and causes a safety risk when doing the repairs The replacement chimney bricks are on site and we are lined up to make the repairs once the power has been discounted The owner has been made aware of this situation. We are sorry that the owner is unhappy with our services We certainly did not intend to create this compliant At the conclusion of the work, I will personally submit to the owner a letter of apology for the delay in completing this job. Respectfully submitted, Scott WR***

july 13, I signed a contract with Belfor to make repair on my home, that was damaged as a result of being hit by a car Belfor was to tear out the damaged front of the house, so a Structual Engineer could inspect it for structural damages Instead of tearing out the damaged areas, a front door was installed on that day The installation of the door was unacceptable, I took a hand delivered letter to Belfor on Monday, July 16,at 7:am stating I was cancelling the contract, per the contract option, Owner has the right to cancel before midnight of business day
These are a few of the things that make the door installation totally unacceptable:
The door does not close flat, the top part of the door sticks out
The bottom right and left sides of the door, you can see daylight, and there is a hole on each side
When you walk into the house you have to step up , and then step down to walk on the foyer floor
Workers had no working supplies to do the jobI had a box of

We had a serious house fire and I received 3rd degree burns. Belfor was an extremely caring group of people. They do hire subcontractors and that's hit and miss. The carpentry was A+, drywall C, painters B+, electricians A, plumbers, C- but no leaks; floor covering guy and hardwood flooring guys ok; heat pump guys did a good job. Couple of subs were immature but overall all of Belfor's subcontractors were pleasant and worked for their money. Belfor employees themselves were A+. I am a professional photographer and was grateful how much of my life's work was saved by Belfor. My two-binder professional portfolios were missing several irreplaceable images. Months later most have been found in unpacked boxes. The ozone subcontractor probably got in a rush. I had skin grafts and surgery on my right arm, hand, thumb, chest, side, and neck with an IV line directly into my heart; skin was harvested off my legs. I appreciate Belfor working 24/7 with my wife to save our belongings and to restore our home while I was in the West Penn Burn Center. I'd definitely recommend Belfor for property restoration, it was overall a good experience dealing with very considerate people working to restore our lives.

Belfor USA in Richmond VA -- They talk a good game when you can get someone to call you back, but the work they produce is sloppy at best. A project that should have been completed in a week or two has gone on for over three months. They still have not resolved the issues of the poor work they did. A headache from day one. I will tell anyone and everyone to avoid using Belfor at all costs.

Review: I have never dealt with a less professional company. We contracted Belfor thru [redacted] to fix water damage. [redacted] was the project manager and explained that all hardwoods would need to be refinished so that they would match. They were a light colored natural finish. We questioned [redacted] and her subcontractor [redacted] about using a darker stain to make sure they match. They said it was unnecessary, that they would assure they match and cost of staining was not covered. Damage was February 2015. They were busy and it took so long to get started that we had to coordinate with previously scheduled remodeling of bathroom, mud room, and new hardwoods in master. We discussed paying to finish master, but never discussed price. On a 24degree temp day, We refused to allow them to replace the damaged hardwoods with wood that had not been allowed to reach room temperature. At first [redacted] assured us that he had been installing hardwoods for 20 years, then admitted that he usually just sanded and refinished. We paid someone else to install them. My wife eventually refused to speak with [redacted] because she was so rude and intimidating. Contrary to their assurances the new wood was several shades darker and did not match. Jackson's helper and everyone who saw them including [redacted] tax assessor agreed that they needed to be fixed. We asked [redacted] to help and instead took pictures to show that in a given light and angle they did not look too bad. I paid someone else to fix them and told [redacted] to get off my property. Belfor charged [redacted] and they paid $5,800 to sand and ruin all but the master floors and sent me a bill today to sand and ruin the master for $1,489.29. I paid a contractor $2,500 to not only sand and refinish, but stain all floors as well. They are now beautiful. Belfor ruined our floors and refused to finish the job and fix them. $7,300 for poor quality, slow, intimidating tactics, arrogance, and lies? $2,500 for same job done well in record time. I won't pay additional $1489.Desired Settlement: [redacted] paid Belfor roughly $5,800 for a job that they refused to finish, so I contracted someone to fix them and [redacted] paid that $2,500. This nightmare has been dragging on since February. I refuse to pay them the $1,489.29 that we never agreed on, they never finished to our satisfaction, and I had to contract someone else to finish. I am asking that the bill be adjusted by $1,489.29 charged for work they did not complete satisfactorily. Their charges for poor quality work are ridiculous .
