Bell Boy Drive In Cleaners

Review: I brought my sons wool toddler coat to be both repaired and cleaned on 10/*/13 and was to pick it up on 10/**/13. I returned on the scheduled date of 10/**/13 and upon looking at the coat I immediately saw that the hood of the coat was still in fact dirty. It still had lint and pieces of debris embedded in it. The woman employee proceeded to say "it's just lint". That is the exact reason I asked for it to be cleaned! She unhappily took the coat and said come back tomorrow then, so I did exactly that. When I returned the next day instead of looking at the hood first, I looked at the repair that was to be done on the middle toggle of the coat. Upon looking at the repair I immediately see that it is a very poor job. The fabric covering the seam of the toggle was not completely tucked in, so it is bulging on the side, the thread is very visible and sloppy (you can see the knot where the thread started and stopped, multiple times), and there were hanging and frayed strands of thread. When I brought it to the woman’s attention (the same employee as the previous day), she said “it’s just thread, so cut it”. I couldn't believe that I was hearing this. I told her no, I’m paying you for a service; I shouldn't have to do anything additional! At that point she got a scissor and cut it. I proceeded to look at the hood after that, and it looked the same! She continued by getting very angry saying that she tried to clean it and she couldn't, so that’s it. She also said that hoods like this don’t get clean, but the rest of the coat was cleaned so it’s okay. I had a problem with that statement for MANY reasons, but the first being that If hoods like this don’t get cleaned then why wasn't I told when I dropped off the coat initially, OR when I complained about it when I went to pick it up the first time? Secondly, what part of doing an incomplete service is OKAY ?!? During this whole argument the other employee, a man, was yelling “The stain didn't come out, so there’s nothing I can do!”. His interjection was completely unnecessary, incorrect, rude, and continuous! He kept yelling. I told the woman, that I didn't agree with any of the service they provided and that I didn't want to pay the entire bill, since they didn't provide complete service. She quickly snatched the coat from me and said no, you pay. I responded by calling the police to see if they could rectify the situation, however when they arrived they informed me that since this is a civil matter there is nothing that they could do. So I reluctantly proceeded to pay for the coat with my credit card (which they advertise as taking [redacted] and [redacted] with a $10 minimum) and he refused my payment. The police officers had to instruct him to take my payment since it was advertised as such, and he only took it after arguing with the officers and taking my license and a copy of my credit card. The experience I had was HORRIBLE, and I will NEVER frequent them again. I will let every family member, friend, coworker, neighbor, and stranger know that they are a poor excuse for a business. They lack customer service, they lack quality, and they should be out of business.Desired Settlement: I want a FULL refund and a written apology for the disgraceful way that they conduct business!
