Work done well, on time and at my budget. I left an opening for them to fix more things on my car, but they were honest and said that the repairs were not needed at this time. Plus I did not get charged for a few minor things done to my car. This is why I keep coming back to them!

Review: [redacted] at Bell Union Auto Services received the car from my son who explained to him that the car was over heating and that smoke (steam) came out of the vents inside the car. [redacted] diagnosed the car and called me later on to inform me that he pressure tested the cooling system an gave me some recommendations as to what needs to be repaired. Since I am not a mechanic I took his word and told him to do whatever needs to be done to fix the problem. When we picked up the car 2 days later. I was glad that the car was fixed and didn't really check out the invoice. The same day my son drove to work and on his way back home the car overheated again (same as before) This occurred at about 5:00pm on Saturday 1/18/2014 after less than 30 miles. It was too late to contact Bell Union Auto Service. We called [redacted] to tow the car to the nearest [redacted] auto shop ( less than 5 miles away) and dropped off the car.[redacted] assured us that they will fix the car on Monday 1/20/2014. On Monday [redacted] called me to let me know that the Heater Core was leaking and suggested to bypass it rather than replacing it which would have been to expensive. They tested the car and it was fixed for $180.65. I was told by [redacted] that all the work Bell Union Auto had done was preventative and obviously did not fix the problem. All they mentioned on the invoice was to keep an eye on the Heater Core that it may need replacement or bypass Well that was obviously the real problem they never fixed, but rather did some preventative work for $477.88 and I guess they were hoping that we come back to fix the real problem for another charge Also the Shop Supply charge of $30.00 is excessive, usually +/- $10.00. I called Bell Union Auto Services on January 23rd and spoke to [redacted] to explain the situation as I mentioned above. He said that I should have brought the car back to him rather than bringing it to another shop. I told him that this was first of all not possible because his shop already closed at that time and secondly I told him that nobody in their right mind would return after paying almost $500.00 and the car was not repaired. I specifically told him that all his work was of preventative nature rather than fixing the real problem. I then offered to pay for the parts which he installed but not for labor. he refused my offer and told me convey it to the owner who will fight the dispute with the credit card company. On February 19th, 2014 my credit card company talked with the owner of Bell Union and was informed that they advised me to have the heater core bypassed or replaced. This was an ABSOLUTE LIE! on my invoice under SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS it sad KEEP EYE ON COOLANT HEATER CORE MANY NEED REPLACE OR BY PASS If I really had declined then I'm sure they would have put that on my invoice but they did not. I did what [redacted] said needed to be done. Isn't my invoice a legal document?Desired Settlement: I will pay for the parts that went into the car. I will not pay for labor or $30.00 shop supply
