Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:
1. Who? is the management team? who wrote this response? they didn't even have the common courtesy to sign their nameTHAT right there says a lotThe typing and grammar was so bad it was difficult to
understandThis person claims to "pride ourselves" on True Hospitality to accommodate every guestWHAT A BUNCH OF BULL........ I made a reservation "ONE MONTH" before my arrival and "specifically" reserved Room 219. "Sam", the hotel employee who made the reservation, GUARANTEED ME this roomIf "Sam" knew she couldn't guarantee me this room, she should NOT have said thatThat is MISREPRESENTATIONSam told me the room was available for my arrival date and she said she put a hold on this room for meThe owner needs to retrain his staff because they DONT KNOW WHAT TRUE HOSPITALITY IS
2. The unknown employee who answered the Revdex.com complaint keeps claiming, the customer was treated fairly and with respectIf you consider being LIED to by employees (Sam) and having a desk clerk (THERESA) argue with the paying customer for minutes, as being treated fairly with respect, then I would assume this is a third world country type of behavior and attitude and is NOT considered acceptable and respectful in the USA
3. As to the claim I filed for being "overcharged"If the Revdex.com can provide a fax or specific email address, I CAN PROVIDE PROOF OF OVERCHARGED TAXES of $If the owner does not refund this amount, I will file a formal complaint with the California Tax Board, the Internal Revenue Service and the California Attorney Generals Office for incorrectly overcharging on taxes
4. The unknown employee who responded to Revdex.com is very confusedThis person starts calling me by another name...Ms***This business can't even get my name correctGuess that really shows respect? This person claims I have stayed in different rooms and didn't complain. It's evident, the author of this response doesn't speak with the employeesThe last room I stayed in (other than Room which I requested), was as bad as this current room I was assigned after this business gave away my guaranteed room. That room also had a 2' x 2' shower stall, which was smaller than a phone booth, no table to eat dinner at, no place to put luggage so it can remain open, no closetIt was a very inadequate room which is why I specifically requested Room and which was guaranteed by "Sam" employee of the hotelI did complain, the last time I was at this hotel but its evident THEY DONT LISTEN
5. The unknown hotel employee who responded, claims I was offered a hot breakfast as restitution of having my room changedTHIS IS A LIE........MY HOTEL ROOMS HAVE "ALWAYS" COME WITH A HOT BREAKFAST THE NEXT MORNINGIT IS PART OF THE ROOM EMENITIES. The only restitution I wanted, was to have Room given to me, which is what I had RESERVED
The responder to the Revdex.com complaint claims, "the staff was never informed of her dissatisfaction with the room". In his response, he claims the room was discounted and I was given a breakfastThis act would not have been done, if I was happy with the roomThis person claims, "had we been made aware of my displeasure, they would be happy to address the issues"WHAT, arguing with your front desk personnel (THERESA) for minutes wasn't a clue I was not happy with the change in rooms?? The fact I told the male night clerk I wasn't staying days wasn't a clue I was unhappy??? There is a pattern of the hotel management not listening
7. The responder to Revdex.com claims my credit card was declinedI DONT HAVE A CREDIT CARDI had cash and was prepared to pay for both nights, but once again, as on a prior occasion, the front desk refused to accept cashI told Theresa (front desk clerk) to charge night on my debit card but she had already put it thru as nights, WHICH SHE WAS TOLD "NOT" TO DO
The bottom line here, is that this business BLATANTLY LIED to a customerMISREPRESENTED their policy and should REFUND THE ENTIRE AMOUNT OF THE ROOM CHARGE. This Revdex.com complaint will be an on-line black mark against this businessIts time to "man up" and accept responsibility
The other major problem with this hotel, which was brought up in the businesses response, is that they have "rooms" and ONLY "parking spots"If a customer comes home later than 8:pm, they will have to park their vehicle about blocks away because of all the restaurants in the near vicinityThis is unsafe for a female to be walking the streets at that hour
If this business continues to fight me on this issue, I will file a formal complaint with the California State Attorney Generals Office for misrepresentation and fraud, claiming they were holding the room but yet this was not the case

Review: ONE MONTH PRIOR to my arrival at this business on June 10, 2014, I made a reservation with [redacted] (front desk employee). I requested Room 219, and ONLY, Room 219. Sam said she made notations in the computer and CONFIRMED this room would be available to me. When I arrived on 6/10/2014, [redacted] said this room was NOT available because the occupants decided to extend their visit. I told Theresa, Sam guaranteed me this room and she should have told the current occupants this room was already booked and moved them to another room. Theresa claimed this was against the law, which I doubt. Theresa gave me a sub-standard room. The shower was so small (2'x 2')a person couldn't even turn around, the windows to the bathroom and living area looked out onto the public walkway so anyone walking by could look in the windows. There was NO dresser where luggage could be put nor was there any luggage rack. There was no place to put open luggage. An extremely small eating table for 1. This room was horrible.A few hours later when I returned, I spoke to the male night clerk and told him the problem and cancelled my 2nd day I had booked. He didn't have a problem with that. When I got home, I looked at my receipt and Theresa double charged me on taxes and TBID taxes.Since I was lied to, because this particular room was NOT available upon my arrival, and I specifically RESERVED ROOM 219, I want a full refund. When Theresa was arguing with me about the business' policy, I deceided NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL....EVER. I REFUSE TO CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH PEOPLE WHO MISREPRESENT THE FACTS, CANT TELL THE TRUTH AND BLATANTLY LIE AND ARGUE WITH A CUSTOMER. THIS BEHAVIOR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.Desired Settlement: $90.61 ROOM RATE AND $17.22 IN OVERCHARGED TAXES, TOTALLING: $107.83
