Review: In May of 2013, I entered into a contract with Bella Rae painting to paint the exterior of my house. [redacted] from Bella Rae took a deposit for the work. Through out the summer and fall, he put off my project and did not deliver services. In late fall, I contacted [redacted] to refund my deposit, which he refused to do saying it would hold the job for the next spring. He offered to refund half but never did. In the spring of 2014, followed up and asked for an updated estimate seeing that there had been addtional wear to my siding over the winter. After failed attempts to get an updated estimate, I canceled the contract and again asked for a refund. It took months to get any response and partial payment and this only after threatening legal action. Now, almost two years later, Bella Rae painting still owes a balance of my refund and continues to ignore attempts to contact.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of my remaining balance.

Review: I hired Bella Rae to paint the wood trim/and repair the stucco & wood trim on my [redacted] home. Bella Rae looked at my home in July 2013 and gave me a price of $3000-I agreed w/ the price and paid them 1/2 of the $3000. After a lot of delays and broken promises for start dates--Bella Rae finally started on my house the last week in Sept 2013. I was told by Bella Rae that the job would take about 3-4 days to complete. On Oct 2, 2013, [redacted] of Bella Rae Painting called me at work and stated that they were finishing up the work and that they would need their balance of $1,500 to be paid in full. I left work w/ $1,500 cashier check to meet Bella Rae at my home to pay them in full. When I arrived at my home-[redacted] informed me that they need to re-order one piece of the wood trim because the trim they have does not fix correctly. The wood trim that they needed to re-order is about 2 1/2 inches wide by 4 feet long( it's a simple straight cut wood trim). I still paid them in full even though they were not finished--I felt that they would not drag their feet on completing this project. Without that wood trim on my north dormer -that part of my home is being exposed to the rain and now the snow--the remaining month of Oct 2013 Bella Rae never came to complete the job even though I left voice messages and sent emails asking when are they finishing the job? Finally on Nov 2, 2013, [redacted] answered the phone -I'm asked when are you coming to finish the work? He said that he was at another job finishing up and that he would be over that day to finish. Nov 2nd came & went --and Bella Rae Painting was a no show--now it's Dec 2nd and the wood trim still has not been completed on my house.Desired Settlement: I want them to finish the job within the next couples days and if they cannot do that, then I want a refund of some sort so I can hire someone to complete the work.

Response:

I'm sorry about not getting there sooner to take care of her pieve of wood. However we replaced the wood we said we would replace on the otjer side. The wood she is speaking of was not seen till we started that area. But I told her I would replace it for her and will run over ther on the next nice day we have. The rest of this week looks rainy and cold so we will be there next week.
