Bella Sera Bridal Reviews (2)

I've reviewed the rebuttal and still stand by my initial response The bride was in the store this past Saturday for her final fitting She did not have her shoes at this fitting so we were unable to completely confirm the hem to be perfect I then learned through the course of the fitting that the bride didn't bring her shoes to her initial fitting which is why there was at least additional fitting (Although I do accept the fact that I asked her to come back when I was available so I could work together with the bride and the seamstress.) It is hard to continue to argue that we never offered a solution We worked through the fitting together and when the appointment was complete, no issues were ever brought to my attention That is why I am here - to help the process along With that said, alterations are a process and before Saturday, the work was not completed The dress we ordered was in fact the appropriate size If we had ordered a smaller size, the gown would have been too snug and then I would have been responsible for correcting the issue I am not at all being disrespectful suggesting the bride changed her mind It happens Not often, but it does The reason I didn't call the bride's father is because he was never part of any of this What logic is there for me to call him when I've never talked to him before? I had a previous conversation with the bride's mom so I thought it best to call her directly She was the one who wrote the email She is the one I wanted to talk to I never yelled at her Yes, we had a heated conversation, but that's business (I'd also like to point out here that in the first complaint, the bride said that SHE spoke with me and I yelled at her and hung up on her In her rebuttal, she admits that I spoke with her mother.) I NEVER said the bride could not pick up her gown It was paid for in full My point was that I wanted to have her come to her final fitting to see where we were at that point I reached out to the bride prior to last Saturday's fitting stating that I may not be available on Saturday and would she be able to come at a different date and time? She explained to me that she works full time and goes to school full time so it would be virtually impossible to reschedule I of course told her that was fine My business plans changed so I was in fact able to be at the last fitting The dress (with the long line bra sewn in) would not zip all the way The seamstress then suggested we take the bra out of the gown and see how it looked then At this point, we were able to get the gown zipped, but the bride still insisted she felt like the gown was going to fall down I asked her to pull the gown up to the place that she felt most comfortable When she did this, she seemed to be a bit more comfortable She still insisted that the dress was not snug enough and she felt like her chest was going to pop out The seamstress suggested a "threading" technique that would fix the issue She offered to take care of it right there After telling the bride it would take about a 1/hour, the bride insisted that she would take the gown to someone closer to home that she trusted At this point, I told her I really wanted to take care of the work and that I would personally deliver the dress to her the following week She refused my offer I then showed her how to do the bustle The seamstress packed the dress up for her and she left our store She was very nice to me and did thank me for my help I honestly believe the gown looked beautiful on her and sincerely hope that she will wear it for her wedding As a business owner, I pride myself on taking care of everyone who walks through our door I'm sorry the bride felt as though I was not helpful in any way I gave her about hours of my time and did my best to make sure she was comfortable Unfortunately, I can't fix what I don't know about For these reasons, I feel as though I have to protect my business and stand by what I have stated We completed the work and the bride has her dress I am not willing to offer any additional compensation

As you can see In the picture the dress still does not fit This has absolutely nothing to do with the hem so that is a moot pointIf you look at the side of the dress you will also notice the poor sew job The seamstress did offer to once again send me out for coffee so that it would be once again be fixed The seamstress told me she thought it looked perfect and was not sure what else she could doIt's evident that her capabilities to fix the dress are not there I would like compensation for the work of the alterations as she ruined the dress and is not fitting as it should The seamstress also began to snap pictures of me without my permission once [redacted] left the room and blamed the dress fitting once more on my bodySo of course I did not stay to further have work done by a seamstress who was not only disrespectful but had chances to get the dress right and could not I furthermore shouldn't have been told to go buy cup inserts then told they looked fine to them be told at the final fitting to take them out not because it didn't zip but because the cups were seen in wrong and sticking out of the top of the dressI appreciate ***'s attempts but due to the shape of the dress I am still requesting a refund for ruining the dress Regards, [redacted] ***
