On May 17, 2015 [redacted] and [redacted] signed a contractual agreement (copy attached) with The Bella Sera Event Center to host their wedding at the venue on 12/17/15. On page 10 is a very detailed cancellation page explaining the specifics...

involved should a client need to cancel for any reason. Both signed the page and initialed next to the 3 most important statements stating they understood the venue would turn away other potential clients for their contracted date. By signing and initialing, they understood they were responsible for the contract if a cancelation was necessary.
On July 1st, 2015 [redacted] wrote a letter to The Bella Sera (attached) thanking us for being understanding and allowing her to move her date to May 26, 2016 without incurring the $1500 charge (as is stated in bullet G of contract) due to financial reasons. We were happy to do that, and the contract was changed to reflect the new date and revised contract date of 7/1/15. Bella Sera turned away business for 12/17/15 and that date is still not rented.
On 7/5/15 [redacted] contacted Mr. [redacted] via text saying she wanted to cancel and get a refund. He explained via text that she needed to follow the cancelation procedures. We have yet to receive a formal written cancelation so we can open up this date for another client. We have not had any interest in 5/26/16 yet, but we are hopeful we can re-rent the date and refund [redacted] and [redacted] $750 as is explained in bullet F) on the cancelation page.
