Review: My father moved into Bella Terra on 11/4/2013 after several meetings with their Director of Resident Services [redacted] and [redacted], Sales Counselor. One meeting was nearly 2 hours long and focused on my father's daily care needs. They agreed to provide the assistance my father required given that he was a fall risk and suffered from low blood pressure. They let us know the fee for his monthly level of care needs and assured us they would be met. Problems started to arise the very next day, 11/5/13. My father told me that nobody came to get him out of his apartment for lunch and that he had to let himself out. I told [redacted] that this was unacceptable and that it was in my father's level of care contract to have somebody get him into his wheelchair and out of his apartment for every meal. When I went to visit my dad the next day 11/6/13 I noticed something was wrong with him. He was extremely lethargic and was sitting with his head down. I immediately called [redacted], the nurse on duty and left her a specific message regarding my father's condition and asked that she come check on him. After waiting an hour I decided to find [redacted] in the building. I intercepted her in the hallway and explained how I left her a message and that I needed her to check on my father as something was very wrong with him. I also asked that she have the house doctor (whom I switched my father's care to) to also check on him as he had a terrible cough that may be contributing to his current condition. She agreed and told me she would call me when she was done. 2 hours passed and I hadn't heard from [redacted] so I called her, only to find out that she had left for the day. While on the phone the girls were summoned to my father's room as he had fallen. 911 was called, my father's blood pressure was extremely low which is why he fell and now has a broken shoulder. I soon found out the only thing [redacted] did when she went to his room was drop off his lunch.Desired Settlement: $7,518.00
