Bellavi aka Collective Fab Reviews (2)

A couple of months ago, I signed up with Bellavi to drop ship their products. After much research, they seemed legitimate. I assumed that if I did not get one of their turnkey websites, I'd have to pay for automatic inventory updates and only get 30% off wholesale price but at least it would be free to join Bellavi and sell their products. I opted for the $350 turnkey website because I wanted the wholesale price of 40% off and the automatic inventory updates. This was not quite the case. Their turnkey website was actually a Shopify store front that you have to pay monthly for. It's not an ACTUAL site. You're basically paying them to set everything up for you. I didn't complain about it because I was new to Shopify. However, there is a monthly fee to run your business on Shopify. I think Bellavi aka Collective Fab should have made that much more clear so clients are well informed about that.

After the store was setup on Shopify, I was instructed to create an account on bellaviapp.com (now app.collectivefab.com) and shopbellavi.com (now shop.collectivefab.com). The bellaviapp.com site is where clients manage inventory and export .csv files. I didn't log into this account too much because I had automatic inventory updates. Shopbellavi.com is the sign where you place your customers' orders after you receive your payment from them through your Shopify store front. I was also instructed to download and install Stock Sync for the automatic updates and told that it would cost me $10 per month. I wasn't too thrilled because I initially thought that automatic inventory updates would be free. I didn't complain though because I assumed that was something that other Bellavi clients probably had to pay for and $10 was not a lot of money per month. So I signed up and was charged $10.
Once I took full control of the store and began to familiarize myself with all aspects of the back end, I noticed that Bellaviapp.com would redirect to a site under Collective Fab. I asked about this and I was informed that they were re-branding themselves and that they have been working for months on transitioning their clients and their products. Okay, I was fine with that. I wish they would have told sooner or indicated something of that sort on their site but I let that go. Several weeks go by and I notice that I was no longer getting email alerts that my inventory was updating. I asked about this and Emily, the CS (that's not her real name. It's someone from Pakistan) informed me that they were no longer using Stock Sync and that they were testing a new inventory sync. I was not informed of this beforehand so I wasn't too happy about it because now there are products are probably sold out but my site doesn't show it. I was patient so I didn't complain. I decided to manually update everything myself so I logged in the app.collectivefab.com website to export csv files. It wasn't hard but it was tedious. I was still able to get it done.

I emailed Bellavi aka Collective Fab to ask about the inventory update software they were working on and Emily (customer service) informed me that it was ready and that she needed my login info to set it up. I gave her my info and sent them to her and waited. She emailed me back letting me know that it was integrated and that since I was a new customer and not an old one, it would cost me $29 a month to use their inventory software. I was not happy about that and sent her a long email about it.

Basically, when I signed up and paid $350, I did so because I would be getting 40% off wholesale price and automatic inventory updates. I thought the automatic inventory updates was a free service. It turns out it is not. At the time, they worked with Stock Sync so I only got charged 10 a month. Now their new inventory sync service is $29. I'm already paying $29 a month for Shopify and $10 for Stock Sync!

So is Bellavi aka Collective worth it all the money I paid them? Not really. It was not worth it to pay them $350 for a turnkey website. I thought I knew what I was getting BUT I learned what I really got after I paid. I got a crappy Shopify store front that I could have done myself. As a matter of fact, after I took full control, I changed the theme because the one they set for me was pure st. They didn't even customize it to make it look legit. The front page only had two products displayed and the ad image was a sale ad. There wasn't even a sale category! I also got charged $10 dollars a month for Stock Sync. So now, I'm looking at a total of $39 a month since I gotta pay for Shopify. I'm okay with paying for Shopify because their website did tell clients about that. They did not tell clients that they would have to pay for Stock Sync. So BEWARE! Their new inventory software is now $29 for new people who sign up with them. Customer service is only done through email. There's no phone number. Not only that, their customer service is outsourced in Pakistan. I know this because during the set up in the beginning when I first signed on and when "Emily" went into my account to integrate the inventory software, Shopify tracks dates, times, and location when someone logs in. It said Pakistan. I don't have a problem with customer service people from Pakistan or anywhere in the world for that matter. It just doesn't not give me a secure feeling when working with them because there is no number to call to talk to someone. Also, I don't know who owns the site or who started Bellavi aka Collective Fab so there's not a lot on company information. This should have been a red flag for me but I must have missed it. So no, Bellavi aka Collective Fab was not worth it for me. If anyone has any questions about Bellavi aka Collective Fab and my experiences with them, feel free to email me! [email protected]
