Review: I contacted Belle air systems to come out and fix my air conditioner. We told the repairman, [redacted], that our lines were clogged and needed to be blown out. He informed us that the lines were fine and there was nothing he could do about our a/c, that it would just need to be replaced. We paid him the service call and he left. Two weeks later, our a/c was kind of working, but started leaking down the closet. We called a different company and they came out and said it never would have happened, if the lines hadn't been so clogged. They cleared out the lines and now we have no issues. [redacted] told me the lines were fine! We paid him the service fee for him to do nothing! The fee was $55 for the service call where he didn't do his job.Desired Settlement: $55 service fee refund, mailed to [redacted]

My name is [redacted] owner of Belle Air Systems.I received a phone call from [redacted] on a very hot day back in June.[redacted] said her a/c was not working and asked when I could come out.I scheduled her in on the same day she called even though my plate was totally full.It was hot and I wanted to help.When I showed up [redacted] mentioned nothing about clogged drain lines,the whole reason she called was to have me see what was going on.First thing I did was check the outdoor unit (ac) and found that it was low on R-22 refrigerant.Next I went into her attic where the furnace and indoor coil is located.I found signs of water that had leaked into her emergency drain pan under the furnace and coil.I told [redacted] and her husband what was going on and made my suggestions to fix the problem.I explained that when an a/c unit is low on refrigerant it will freeze up the coil and become like a block of ice.I told them it will thaw out and leak water into the pan under the unit.I also explained that the pan under the unit is metal and water must had leaked before because it was rusting the pan out.Not once did I suggest that the only option they had was to replace the system.I gave them a price to recharge the a/c and replace the metal pan with a plastic one.They asked if they could purchase the pan from me and put it in themselves to save money.I said that would be fine and I would even will call it for them to pick up at the warehouse at my cost.I even explained how to go about installing the new pan.They held off on moving forward with recharging the a/c and replacing the pan.[redacted] did however call me a month and a half later and ask me if I could order the pan for her.I called her back and said no problem.Next thing I get is an email with a complaint about 2 weeks later.They were very nice to me and offered cold drinks.The husband even gave me a $20 tip as I was walking out the door to leave.The $55 charge was just my charge to show up and see what was going on.I have a business to run and must cover my gas and ware and tare for my truck.I cannot just drive all over town to customers houses for free.I think [redacted] misunderstood my assessment of her hvac system,and $55 is just for me to show up.No one in my industry would recharge an a/c with R-22 and replace a pan for $55.That would roughly be around $300-500.I bent over backwards for these people and ended up on the complaint end of the stick.The complaint says that they knew the drain lines were clogged and called me to blow them out,but that isn't how any of it went down.In my 6 years of being licensed I have never had a complaint.The Revdex.com would have never seeked me out if I was a negligent contractor.I take pride in what I do and would never screw any one over.I am more than willing to refund [redacted]s $55 back,but I think it's a shame that customers write false reviews.
