Review: I brought my 2008 PT Cruiser in for over heating problems. I noticed the problems when my car sat in idle and then coolant would pour out of the bottom. I also had problems getting the car to start while it was in park, I told Belli auto all of this and, [redacted] (I'm not exactly sure of the name), told me he ran a full diagnostic and found that the PCM needed to be replaced and could not find out why the car would start. He said that he had a friend in Florida that had the software for the PCM and that it would be cheaper than going to a [redacted] dealership so we trusted him to get the job done. Since we did not leave the car in his care while the part arrived he asked me about how many miles we thought we would put on the car in the mean time. I told him about 100 then called him 1 or 2 days later and told him it'd be more but he said it was too late and the odometer would be off a couple hundred miles which I found strange. After he got the part I dropped the car off and the job was done in about an hour to an hour and a half. He first quoted me 600$ for everything but when I picked up the car he charged me 722.10$ and I had no choice but to pay and be on my way. About 10 days after I noticed the car was still over heating and was not starting. I called the next day and we agreed he would look at it. He then told me I need to pay an additional 350$ for a fan. I asked him why this wasn't picked up on the initial diagnostic and he told me there was no way of telling, even though it is the same exact problem. I explained that I put all my money into getting it fixed and he would not work with me saying, "it is what it is." I don't understand how I paid over 700$ for something that may have not even been the problem and I am now asked for 350$ more to fix it. Seems like a broken fan seems easier to spot than a bad PCM.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my money back because the problem wasn't fixed. At all. I would like to have my case investigated to see if the PCM was even the problem and not a case of someone trying to hustle me. And above all I just want to have my car fixed for the problems it was having. 720$ is nothing to sneeze at so when paying that I believe a certain level of security is involved. I don't know what a "full diagnostic" means but I would hope that they checked everything which they have not.
