Belliard's Hair Design Studio & Spa

Review: I have in my possession a gift card with a balance of $145 for use at Belliard's Hair Design Studio. In January 2014 I went to the establishment to use the card and they were closed for business. There was no indication as to how long the establishment would be closed, but it was obvious from looking inside that there was some type of physical damage. I tried to contact the establishment, but to no avail. I thereafter contacted an employee of the salon through a popular social networking site to inquire about the disposition of the salon. He informed me that a pipe burst and they were closed. I continued to remain in contact with him regarding the status of the salon, and I personally stopped by the salon on a monthly basis to check on the status. There was no update provided by the salon at the physical location, through mail, or through phone. I remained in contact with the employee on social media, and he informed me that he had received very little correspondence from the management of the salon, and any updates provided, shed no light on the situation.

After nearly a year, the salon finally opened. I went in to speak with the owner about the lack of communication and requested a refund of my gift card due to the poor customer service, lack of updates, and the way management treated their employees during this ordeal. The owner informed me that mailings were sent. However, I received no such correspondence from the establishment, and any attempt on my part to reach the company was met with zero success.Desired Settlement: After the way the establishment handled their closing, I would like a full refund in the amount of $145.00 so I may take my business elsewhere.
