Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.] I want to know what is the problem with billing and why this happened! I know the matter was cleared up with americollect! I had to make SEVERAL phone calls to get this matter cleared up! I paid the bill it is not my JOB to do this I would like a phone call and compensation for the mistreatment I recieved! Please call me at ###-###-#### to get this resolved fairly! Regards, [redacted]

At our Oconto Hospital we do hospital-based billing. I do see that on her statement the term “Emergency Department” was on her bill however, the charges that went to the insurance company were not for emergency services. The appropriate CPT/REV Codes were submitted to the insurance. We did not submit emergency codes to the insurance.I am working with our IT department to get this corrected. Bellin’s payment policy is $100 a month for 6 months. After 6 months the balance must be paid in full if the patient is unable to pay we do offer a 1 year interest free loan through HELP Financial. If patients are unable to meet the $100 minimum or need longer than 6 months this is good option. Our Billing Polices are located on Bellin.org.

This has been Satisfactorily resolved

At our Oconto Hospital we do hospital-based billing. I do see that on her statement the term “Emergency Department” was on her bill however, the charges that went to the insurance company were not for emergency services. The appropriate CPT/REV Codes were submitted to the insurance.  We did not submit emergency codes to the insurance.I am working with our IT department to get this corrected. Bellin’s payment policy is $100 a month for 6 months. After 6 months the balance must be paid in full if the patient is unable to pay we do offer a 1 year interest free loan through HELP Financial. I have reviewed this compliant several times with several people within Bellin. When patients visit our Oconto Hospital we do hospital-based billing. What this means is, there is a charge for professional and technical services. $130.00  was billed for the providers service 99213....

This is the professional service.$506.00 was billed for the xray and room charge. This is the technical charge. I reached out the coder to validate the proper coding was done and the documentation support the charges. I reviewed with Revenue department at Bellin and the price is correct and comparable to locate facilities.I apologized to Andrea for leaving a message for her daughter and not her. This was an over site on my part. However this doesn’t change the fact that the billing was correct. Thank You,[redacted]imonetTeam Facilitator-Patient Financial Services

Review: MY HUSBAND, VERNON HAS A BILL FROM A PROCEDURE DONE 9/20/2013. ON 10/31/2013 I CONTACTED THE BILLING DEPT AND SPOKE WITH "[redacted]" INFORMING HER WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE PAYMENTS ON THIS BILL OF $36.00 PER MONTH. SHE INFORMED ME THEY ONLY ACCEPTED A MINIMUM PAYMENT OF $100.00 PER MONTH. I TOLD HER THAT MY HUSBAND WAS A SEASONAL WORKER AND WOULD BE LAID OFF SOON AND THIS WAS THE AMOUNT WE COULD AFFORD. WE NOW RECEIVED A NOTICE THAT THE BALANCE HAS TO BE PAID IN FULL BY 6/22/14 OR THEY WILL SUBMIT THIS TO A COLLECTION AGENCY. SINCE I INFORMED THEM WHAT WE COULD AFFORD AND MADE THIS PAYMENT EVERY MONTH I THINK THIS IS NOT PROPER. THE DOCTOR THAT COMPLETED THE PROCEDURE BILL WAS DOUBLE WHAT WAS OWED BELLIN AND THE DOCTOR'S CLINIC IS FINE WITH US MAKING MONTHLY PAYMENTS.Desired Settlement: WE WANT BELLING TO CONTINUE TO ACCEPT OUR MONTHLY PAYMENTS OF $36.00.

Response:

In response to the patients complaint regarding our payment policy, it appears they have now agreed to place the remaining balance of their account from 2013 on a zero percent interest loan that we offer in house. This loan allows patients to extend their payments for an additional 12 months at zero percent interest if they are unable to meet the monthly minimum payment of $100.00.

Review: On two separate occasions 6 months apart I was having chest pains and was admitted to Bellin Health. After extensive testing I have never recieved any diagnosis. After our insurance company paid their amount we were billed the balance which my wife began making payments on. Bellins billing department contacted us and demanded payment in full or payments not to exceed 6 months. Frustrated with the treatment I called and spoke with [redacted] and complained about the fact that I somewhat feel that I am being charged for a service that has not been resolved and know nothing about what is causing my condition. [redacted] sent me documents to file a complaint which I did but have never recieved any response. Our balance has now been sent to collection even though we have made payments and although very unsatisfied with the level of service and the fact that no one has responded to my concerns. Today I spoke with [redacted] and then with [redacted] in the billing department. Mary was very understanding and pleasant to talk to but had no authority to make a decision, [redacted] on the other hand was rude and had no interest in my concerns and eventually hung up on me. I told [redacted] that I would make payments to Bellin Health but not to a collection agency with interest, further more I asked for a itemized list of charges with out lines blacked out like the previous one sent.Desired Settlement: I feel that I have been charged multiple times for the same procedure according to the bill I've reiceved and still have no idea what caused the condition.

Our current balance is $1470.00

I would be willing to settle for a one time reduced settlement of $900.00 or $100 per month payment with no interest and a itemized list of charges without lines blacked out.
