visited our office during a marketing event where she won a $1,200 raffle and purchased products and services in the amount of 5715 (this is how she arrived at the $1,915). She consented for all services that were provided to her. No Aesthetic business provides a 100% guarantee and though the risks are minor, all aesthetics procedures have them just like any other medical procedure. Being employed in the healthcare business, the patient should certainly agree with this statement. Having said this, the patient experienced a hematoma (slight bruise) from a filler injection which is expected. We met with the patient several times to address her concerns, but nothing seemed to make her happy. At our last meeting, she said she wanted her $715 refunded and to be paid the $1,200 for the raffle prize that she won. Reluctantly, we agreed to this settlement just to resolve the situation. We issued the check for $1,915 and asked that she sign a waiver which would resolve all issues between us as any prudent business would do. We have notified her to pick up the check, but she has refused to do so. The fact that she filed this complaint, confirms our reasons to require that she sign a waiver. She can still pick up the check as we had agreed, but she will have to sign the waiver.
