Bellissimo Concrete

Bellissimo Concrete was hired by me to do my concrete work. The job was 340sgf of concrete, thats for part of a driveway and sidewalk to be done by Bellisimo, *** the owner. August 14 2019 was the day when he started pouring the cement. Everything was going good, I was there watching. I left when the cement truck pour the last wheelbarrow and started cleaning out. I pay *** $1700 that was for the cement and for his work. After couple of hours he texted me and he told me that something went wrong the job that he was doing went terrible bad, finished come out very bad. I went the see the job that he did and the cement looked very bad, not even at all with wholes everywhere very bad!!
He told me that he will be back after couple of days to fix it. Since that day I havent seen him, or heard from him. I try calling him texting him but no answer from him.

Do not deal with this company! They are full of empty promises, delaying of work, and they don't pay their suppliers. We were left with a bill from the concrete company for $2260.00 even after we had paid Bellissimo Concrete in full. We were given a receipt for the concrete, paid in full, but they didn't pay. Subsequently, the Concrete company put a lien on our property, and now, although I have the receipt paid in full, I must pay a lawyer and fight to remove that lien. But that won't happen until he pays his account off. It has now been a year. The amount of the work was substantial, and takes some time to accumulate. I hope others are a little more lucky, like don't use them.

Unreliable and shoddy work. Tried coming back to repair and made matters worse. Now avoiding all calls, texts and emails. Avoid at all costs.

I had him do my driveway. I had to chase him daily to try and get the work completed. I now have the cement company threatening to put a construction lien on my house because he didn't pay the company. We ended up having to complete the work ourselves and now I have to deal with the cement company *** that he didn't pay. This company is a nightmare and should be avoided at all costs.

Paid deposit $2000 of 6500 concrete job on my patio backyard.Except marking area,no work had been done.Contractor refuse the job or return my deposit.

Contractor *** came as agreed on the phone on Sep 13 to my house to start the job. As the job in my backyard no access with heavy equipment was agreed as would destroy the grass. Also Contractor agreed to take all waste resulting from digging. I gave him a cheque of CAD 2000 as deposit as requested. Contractor cashed the cheque but no job was done. Same the next days, the 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th of Sep, no work has been done. Contractor every day was sending me texts that workers will come to start digging. Nobody was coming.
Finally on the 18th of Sep. 2 workers came with no equipment, stayed a half an hour when we together marked the margins for the future concrete area and then left to come back next day with equipment to start the job. Nobody was coming any next days. So by Sep. 22, I was asking the Contractor to let me know if he can/want to do the job or else to return my deposit as I am looking for another Contractor to do my job.
Contractor refused to do the job but also to return my money.

On August 31, 2018, this contractor had concrete poured at my home for my driveway. This contractor failed to repair any of the defects that were requested to be repaired. Contractor would text and state he was at my home, but did not have the right tools to cut the end of the driveway. This happened on several occasions. He continued to cancel due to hot weather. Contractor also poured the concrete around the main water shut off valve without using a PVC pipe. We had to rent a tool to cut around the shut off valve so that the town would have access to it. We also ended up renting a hot saw to cut the end of the driveway which was left unrepaired. I have pictures of both defects to prove my claim.

On September 27, 2018 - I received a call from a man named *** claiming to be from *** informing that *** from Bellissimo never paid him for the cement and that a construction lien is going to be put against my home for non-payment.

I had a driveway and sidewalk cemented which was not completed. *** took the full amount of the contract and left without returning to finish the job. After 3 weeks of delays and not finishing the job he began to ignore my calls and texts where I had to hire another contractor to finish the job.

He Took my deposit and never came back to finish the job.
I called him multiple times and left numerous messages, but never heard back from him.

In August 2017, I hired *** with Bellissimo Concrete to cement my driveway. This company had recently been in the local media with regards to helping out another family who was taken advantage of from another contractor, so I figured they were trustworthy. To give a timeline of my experience, the job started in August with them coming to extricate on August 27. The gentleman running the machine, knew he ran over and destroyed the internet cable but did not say anything until asked directly. *** and his crew had also left fast food garbage strewn across the lawn when they left. The job kept being postponed by *** and his team despite numerous attempts made by me in trying to get the job done. For example, I sent texts inquiring on when the job would be completed in which I was either ignored or given promises of coming and more often than not they would not show. The concrete was finally poured on September 22nd. When he left on the 22nd, *** said he would be back to cut and clean up in about a week. *** had also offered to landscape the area due to the inconvenience of the waiting. The job is still not done. *** now screens my calls. My driveway has now started to crack and he was made aware of this on October 17th, 2017 via email and text. When the concrete was poured, he was given the remaining balance for a total of $7000. I have kept all of my texts from *** proving my experience. *** has now disconnected the previous number ***) used for the business. I am still unsuccessful in getting him on the new listed number (***) ***. I have now spent additional money for someone else to complete the job.
