In regards to case # XXXXXXXX, a Cash Register was taken from the consumer's house after a fire in January 2013. The consumer spoke with the manager at our business and received a cost estimate of $2,000 for the restoration. It was agreed...

between the business and the consumer that a "plastic" component versus "marble" or "granite" would be used in the restoration process. The client, as stated in this complaint, verbally agreed to the restoration with our business. The Cash Register was picked up and delivered by our business. There was no email exchange during the entire business transaction process. In addition, we have had no form of communication with the consumer since early 2014.
The business would like to resolve this issue with the consumer in an expeditious manner and would like to offer to pay for the cost of putting marble on the Cash Register. We hope that the consumer will find this recommendation satisfactory and this complaint can be resolved.

I will be glad to accept the plastic to be replaced with marble as it should have been, however I would like to request that they pick up the cash register and return it in a reasonable amount of time, perhaps about fifteen days, and if the cash register is not returned within that time a penalty per day would be paid, what the Revdex.com feels is appropriate. I don't want to wait another year. Also attached is copies of the response Email's I got from the Bellows Shoppe. Maybe someone in their organization was not telling the boss about the complaints.

It seems to me that Bellows wants me to remove the plastic and send it to them. They will replace the plastic with marble and send it back to me so I can reinstall it. The subject of how to pick out a piece of marble is hard, and not addressed. Since no one has any samples I have found. If I have to reinstall the marble and it does not fit or brakes, then just to bad for me? If Bellows expects me to find a piece of marble and reinstall it I will,try & find a piece marble. I will do it if I am reimburse $500.00 for expenses of travel, item of marble, gas etc. This offer I feel is fair, because I have traveled numoris places looking for one.Hopefully the Revdex.com can come up with something workable to both. If not maybe I should just take it to court. My final offer is above stated due to research of item, traveling to numerous tile and granite companies only to find they can't help.

The Bellows Shoppe was not made aware of any problem with the Cash Register restoration in 2014 when the consumer paid the $2,000 for the services. Nor, was there any further communication regarding the transaction until April of 2015 when the case was brought before the Revdex.com.
This situation was originally about changing the plastic to marble and the actions that would need to be taken to accomplish this. At this point in time, it appears that the issue has now become more focused on reimbursement of money. The consumer continues to ask for $500.00 and at the same time, is replying with reasons to The Bellows Shoppe as to why the options for replacing the plastic with marble are not acceptable.
As stated previously, The Bellows Shoppe will offer the consumer a credit of $250.00. If the consumer finds this unacceptable, he is free to take legal action for the remaining $250.00 as he indicates in his rebuttal.
