We just received your letter of 5/5/15 regarding the claim filed by I[redacted],...
ID 10608192. Our office was called out on 6/6/14 for a kitchen faucet that was leaking at the spout and dripping under the sink. We tightened the faucet at the spout and showed the owner how to tighten it in the future and let her know that if the problem persisted we recommend the faucet be replaced. We charged her $110 for the service call. Our service call is $110 for 1 hour of service, minimum of 1 hour for any part of that hour. As of 10/24/14 she had not paid and we called her requesting payment. She called our office back on 11/7/14 and said shed be making a payment soon. When no payment was received by 3/18/15 we sent her to collections. She never called our office saying she was unhappy or that the faucet was still leaking until after we sent her to collections. We also made a note on the original invoice that if the problem persisted we recommend replacing the faucet. Our charges are quoted to the customer before we schedule a service call so they are aware of what we charge, which is attached for your reference so you can see our note. We feel this claim is unwarranted.
Sincerely,
C[redacted] President
Review: Bell's service came to look at faucet and tighten it for a leak. When all along it was broken. Tighten it didn't even help.I don't mind paying some of this service call, but he was not even there five minutes and didn't even take a tool off his truck.I called when I received my bill and spoke to a gentleman, I could pay some of the bill but not $110.00 for a service call for this bill. I feel I was overcharged.Desired Settlement: At least charge me half of the $110.00.
