Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me Belmont carpets resolved the issue and completed the job at a discounted rate However, it remains a fact that the salesman tried to charge me $extra for carpet that was not ordered (total that would have been charged = $(price was $40/sq.yd& only sq.ydswere ordered) I do not consider this a mistake, but an unethical action on the part of the salesman Management reassured me that this is not a business-wide practice, and that this was an isolated occurrence I am satisfied with the resolution, but I do not believe that this was a mistake Regards, [redacted]
We received the notification of this complaint on April 30, 2014, As of that date resolution of the situation was already in process. The carpet had been ordered and the installers were already on site completing the installation. Management had reviewed the situation and agreed that it... was the mistake of the salesperson. Belmont had informed the consumer that there would be no additional charge for the carpet that was needed to finish the job. At the time the customer was to pay the balance due on the contract which was not increased from the original amount, the customer was given a discount of $250.00 to go out a have a nice dinner for their inconvienence. At that time the customer was extremely happy and satisfied with the installation and the resolution of the complaint. In business mistakes can be made and we do our best to resolve them.
