So along with most of the other reviews here, mine is negative. I don't buy pet store dogs and this is why, however this puppy melted my heart. The Customer Service Sucks, don't call and ask about registration papers or they'll yell at you. I purchased my Border Collie in March 2016. He was scared and shy, had to sit with him for a good 45 mins just to get his trust. After deciding to purchase him I held him in my arms so my mom could take a quick picture. I had the old grumpy lady in the back put him back in his kennel while I finished his paper work. I was told he was registered ABCA, and that the papers took 90 days to come to the pet store for me to pick up (remember 90 days). As I was at the register my new baby was screaming in his cage wanting out, I couldn't blame him. I paid $ 960 for him when all was said and done. He stunk, had ear mites, and worms. When we got home I noticed him limping, and quickly looked him over. His toe nail was broken on his front paw, all the way back into the pad. I immediately took him to the vet the next day and he had to surgically have it cut back, which the vet advised it would most likely always grow in sideways and have issues. When I called the Pet Warehouse to advise them that I could let the mites and the fact that he had worms slide, but wanted to be reimbursed for his vet fees for the toe nail they told me he was fine when he left and they weren't responsible. SERIOUSLY!!! Sucks for them I have a picture where I was sitting in there encounter room on the floor and you can visibly see this dogs toe is jacked up. Strike 1. So months go by and at this point I just want my dogs papers. Its been 90 days so I stop in. I got yelled at for coming by because no one called me to tell me the papers had come in. Ok?? The contract stated they would be there in 90 days?? How is this my fault that they aren't. So I called the following month to ask again, are my dogs registration papers in? NO! They were lost in the mail and they had to call breeder to get a new copy. Ok, understandable I won't complain. However I was told 90 days, at this point the lady on the phone is yelling again at me to go read the contract before I call again. Strike 2. Ok contract read, 6 months max for papers and if not received by then I have the right to request 25% of the dogs cost back. They called me 2 days before it hit the 6 month marker to let me know the papers had come in and I could come pick them up. So I went the same day, an hour drive mind you to get my dogs papers. To which she replies, sorry we misunderstood, that's the only registration your dog has. Strike 3!!! So I pull out the registration paper work, which I'm still working on, to try and locate the breeder on the form. NO LUCK! 8 Months with no results! Â THIS PET STORE IS A P*SS POOR EXAMPLE. If you want a sick puppy that is going to cost you thousands of dollars in medical bills plus he cost of the puppy and comes from a puppy mill by all means buy hereI paid over $for my puppy and it has hip dysplasia in both hips he also needs shoulder surgery on both shoulders also has problems with its wristHe Falls down everyday, requires helping getting up and even cries when laying down when he tries to reposition himselfAll they offered was $cash back which I took because of all the pain medication and x rays, hip supplements are costing a fortuneon top of all this I have had to have the puppy DNA tested as none of the vets he has seen believe his is purebred even though he was sold with AKC papersI bought steel from their sister store*** n ***
