Delay in obtaining annual registration and license platePurchased truck on 5-30-15. As of today (7-9-15) I have not received my license plate and annual registration card. On 6-30-15 I contacted the dealership and was informed there there was some technical issue with the title, which I certainly understand, but asked them to send me a new temporary marker so I could continue to drive until they straightened the title issue out. Their initial response was to ask me if the date was still legible on the tag. When I said no, they suggested I just put a new date on it. Driving the vehicle then would elevate my driving without a valid registration charge to a fictitious tag charge. I was going out of town the next day, so, deciding to take a gamble, I asked them to send me a letter detailing the title issue in case I got pulled over, which they did, and simply asked them to mail the new temporary tag to me since I live 2 hours from the dealership. That way the tag would be there when I returned home. Upon my return on Sunday, the tag had not arrived. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I waited until Tuesday to phone the dealer when I still had not received my temporary tag. Their response was that it wasn't mailed because "they thought they would have my permanent tag by Friday" and could just send that. Well, when Friday came without a permanent tag in hand, they could have and should have then mailed the temporary tag and I should have had it before I called on Tuesday. In any event, in the phone conversation Tuesday I was insured that it would be sent to me by FedEx overnight. Well, come Wednesday evening and still I have no tag. On my call to the dealer Thursday morning, I was informed that they put the wrong address on the FedEx package so it was being returned to them but they promised to resend it overnight again today to the correct address. When asked about the status of getting the title corrected, the dealer did not know what to tell me other than they would check on it. It should be noted that at no time has the dealer initiated contact with me to advise of any problems, it has always been me that has had to contact them. I also get the impression from the dealer that it takes no responsibility for this issue and is not really motivated to insure this issue is fixed immediately. I called the bank who financed the purchase and confirmed that the dealer had been paid although obviously no lien has been secured on the title. They must have had correct addresses and were on the ball in completing the paperwork required for them to get paid while I now have a truck than I cannot legally drive and has been sitting for the past week. I guess they have their money in hand so it is not such a priority. The slap in the face about all this is that they charge you a $ 499.00 fee for completion of the "paperwork" including getting titles transferred and plates issued.Desired SettlementI want the dealership to move my title issue up the priority list and get this resolved. Additionally I feel that I should be refunded the $ 499 "administrative fee" in reimbursement for all this trouble and loss of use of the truckFinal Consumer Response /[redacted]/I am not sure why Revdex.com has closed this complaint. My update was to be fair to the company to update my earlier narrative to show that the temporary tag was received. I have still not received my regular license plate, nor has the company addressed my request for a refund of the "doc/admin fees" charged because of their lax way of handling this matter. The complaint should remain pending until these issues are resolved. Please correct your records to show that I am not yet satisfied with the company and they have in fact made no response to my complaint to the Revdex.com.I have never received any kind of response to my complaint from the company. I did finally receive my permanent tag as the dealership was required to do after several more phone calls to the dealership but they have never responded to my complaint nor my specific request for a partial refund of the administrative/doc fees they charged.
