In March I contracted with Ben's Screening for a full new cage and screen at [redacted] , North Port I gave him a 50% deposit He cashed cheque and despite numerous calls he has yet to start job or return depositHe continues to accept new jobs despite taking our money, not doing the job and refusing to return our deposit

Made a contract on 1/6/with depositAs of today April no work had been doneNever showed to refund my deposit No return calls On 1/6/I met with Ben Cto do some screening repair on my Lanai We signed an agreement that the work would start in weeksA 50% deposit was given via checkOn the week mark I called to see if the work had been started andNo it hadn't ( I live in New Jersey and my brother was helping me maintenance on the house) was told the weather was badThis has gone on for several monthsExcuse after excuse Finally was told work would take place on March only to be told that he was busy with another jobArrived in Florida on April and still no workWe were suppose to me on April 5@11:for him to issue a refund but he never showed and never returned phone calls

If I had read these reviews, I probably would not have hired Ben to do our cage rescreen, and that would have been MY loss I did hire him, and am very pleased w/the quality and price of a full rescreen, paint of large cage, and replacement of all screws Yes, there were some time issuesThat could be poor time management, but is more likely a result of other subcontractorsI would indeed recommend Ben's to all I would off a star review for quality of work If you hire him, just be aware that sometimes things just go slower than you might likeBen is a polite, kind gentleman, and I believe is an honest businessman who DID do just exactly what he said he would

Work not completed and has failed to return to fix defective items
Contracted for the job in March and gave MrCa 50% depositHe finally showed up in May to do the job Did not install gutter splash guard which was included in the price New beam warped within a few weeks creating an opening which allows insect intrusion into the cage enclosureReported the problem to him as soon as it occurred In spite of numerous calls, texts, and face to face conversations, MrChas failed to complete the work and repair/replace the defective materials

On 12/2/contracted with Ben Chisholm to paint and rescreen pool cage at our home address Paid $deposit Recontacted him over the past year in attempt to have work completed He gave multiple excuses and would reschedule As of 10/10/work not done Requested money back Not done Filed a complaint with North Port police today and seeing that Ben Chisholm had been arrested for theft Spoke with State Attorney office who states there are multiple complaints against him Told to notify Revdex.com

I initiated contact with company...Benjamin Cto rescreen portions of my pool cage Gave deposit on of 320.00half downHe came back and promised to return to do job He never did I have left many voice messages asking him when he will do the job or if he couldn39t to please return my deposit Never received any response

Do not hire Ben's Rescreening They gave us bid in October and took a 50% down payment Said he could not do it until January because of so many jobs That was fine with us so come the end of January, no Ben's and no call Called and left VM, no call back Finally able to get him to answer in person Said he would be at our place the following Monday Did not show or call Many VM's later still nothing Finally we reached him again and we requested our deposit He said he was in hospital but would bring money the following week Nothing We finally called and threatened him with attorney and he showed up at home the next morning with cash I know in the past he was well known in our area for doing a good job Don't know what happened but do NOT hire him

WORK NEVER STARTED - POLICE INVOLVED TO GET REFUND OF DEPOSIT
ON MARCH 2018, I HIRED BEN'S RESCREEN AND GAVE HIM A DEPOSIT OF $ HE WAS SCHEDULED TO DO THE WORK 6-APRIL HE NEVER SHOWED UP OR CALLED ME I SAW HIM IN THE COMMUNITY AND ASKED HIM WHEN HE WOULD PERFORM THE WORK HE SAID APRIL HE NEVER SHOWED UP I LEFT MESSAGES AND TEXTS WITH HIM AND NEVER RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE I LIVE IN HERON CREEK GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB COMMUNITY OF MAINLY SENIORS I CONTACTED MY INFORMATION OFFICE AND WAS TOLD THEY HAVE A LIST OF PEOPLE WHO ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT BEN
MY BANK TOLD ME TO CONTACT THE POLICE I TALKED WITH OFFICER *** AT THE NORTH PORT POLICE DEPARTMENT AND HE IMMEDIATELY CALLED BEN WITHIN A FEW MINUTES, BEN CALLED THE OFFICER BEN THEN CALLED ME AND SAID HE WOULD DO THE JOB THE NEXT DAY I TOLD HIM HE WAS FIRED AND I WANTED MY DEPOSIT RETURNED AFTER DIFFERENT EXCUSES, I GOT MY MONEY BACK DAYS LATER I FEEL THAT BEN IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF
