Review: Over four months ago I had my first appointment for glasses and contacts. I paid a little over $300 for glasses and the contacts eye exam which by law is suppose to include your prescription , I got the glasses the same day but here I am four months later without my contact prescription. Three months after my first visit I finally walked out with my " trial pair " but they only lasted a day if that before I discovered a tiny tear in the contact. I have had about six appointments with them , asked for the contact prescription repeatedly and I still don't have it. The last time I asked for it I was told that the office manager wasn't in but they would call me back about it. Why would the office manager have anything to do with this? Wouldn't the doctor be the one in charge of prescription. I refuse to go somewhere else to pay for something I already paid for and I shouldn't have to also going to them has been a huge waste of time. As a mother of five children , two of which has severe medical problems , my time is valuable. When I showed up at their office for my last appointment the lady wasn't even there. I waited twenty minutes and was told they would call me later to reschedule. Five hours later they called me to go in at the same time my two oldest were getting off the bus but to get my trial contacts I played their games and rushed right down there. I can't play their games anymore and I just want what I already paid for. If I had went anywhere else I would have had my prescription the same day.Desired Settlement: I want my contact prescription that I paid for immediately or my money back for the service that I didn't receive. I will never ever use them again for my eye care needs. The glasses I did get keep loosening and falling off my face and adjusting them don't help. It was a huge waste of money that I really didn't have and my insurance covered none of it because they weren't set up to bill my insurance at the time.

I am rejecting this response because:

The information in the businesses response is far from accurate. I was NOT a no show to three or four appointments. They also have me done as a no show on atleast one day that I was clearly there and on another day I artived to be told I would have to come back later because the woman who does the training was stuck in traffic in [redacted] , four hours later I received a call telling me come down which once again I dropped everything I was doing and rushed out the door with my five kids. I called ahead and cancelled one appointment, and ONE was a no show which I called and did sincerely apologize for that to them but there was a medical emergency and I explained that to them. BOTH times I was told that I would have to be called back to reschedule and both times no one called me back so again I had to call back. They claim I didn't promptly return phone calls BUT since the only phone I have is a cell phone & I do get detailed call logs with my bill will be more than happy to submit the phone company phone call records to show who wasn't prompt returning phone calls cause it sure wasn't me. I paid these ppl for a service and then practically had to beg them to fulfill their end of it which never happened. Must I get down on my hands and knees and beg them to fulfill their end of the deal ?? How many not retured phone calls does one have to make and how long must one wait before its decided that they just weren't calling back. Yes when I finally got fed up of waiting which was four months later I did fax them a request for my contact lens prescription because I paid for it and I played their ". Games " long enough. I had asked for it on two other occasions because the one lady didn't return my phone calls to give me my next appointment. I wanted to finally be done and part ways with a company that obviously didn't want to finish the process. When I first went to them in March I specifically only wanted contacts . I ended up getting glasses too because my hubby suggested I should. I had wanted contacts for years BUT wasn't able to afford glasses & contacts at the same time so I only got the glasses. I have five kids one of which has severe heart problems and a pacemaker. I'm not even going to get in to the cost her care is but the point is that when I was finally able to afford both contacts and glasses I was extremely happy that I would no longer have to wear glasses and be uncomfortable with them. I wouldn't have to panic about them breaking and I even felt better about myself not having glasses. Ben Domiano's took that away from me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is somewhat satisfactory to me. I'm not happy that I had to wait six months and go this route to get the script that I originally asked for four months ago. My one year script will now only be a six month script but I guess I will take it.
