Between myself, my mortgage company and Great Florida Insurance we have contacted Bankers and their sub-company [redacted] about multiple refunds that I am owed dues to having two flood insurance polices (with Bankers / [redacted] ) Since the purchase of my house back in February of 2016.The overage has caused my escrow for my mortgage to go into the extreme negative and my mortgage to sky rocket from $850/month to $1200/month which I am forced to pay out of pocketAt this time I have gotten a few of the checks owed to me from Bankers but it has been a month long process PER CHECKI have called and spoke to many representatives from the company and they have all treated me as if I was only wasting their time and my concerns / money did not matter Product_Or_Service: Flood Insurance

Complaint against: (Bankers Insurance Group's First Community Insurance Company of FL P.O33061, StPetersburg, FL 33733- Claim Number: XXXXXX Policy Number: XX XXXXXXXXXX X XX When Hurricane Florence headed for NC, there was a voluntary (effective Sept 6) then mandatory evacuation (effective Sept and ending Sept 25) We left our home on September and returned September 21, During that time, our out of pocket expenses were $2,and we filed to recover this amount Our insurance company (Bankers Insurance Group's First Community Insurance Company of FL) reimbursed us only $453.32, so we incurred a net evacuation loss of $2, The insurance company then gave us $7,toward the estimated repair costs in excess of $45, So we need in excess of $38,more from somewhere to repair our home During the repair period, we will again be unable to live in our home and the initial estimate for that additional cost is approach

The costumer service is absolutely unacceptable When filing a claim for hurricane damage, the turn around on a simple phone call averaged a two week wait for return communication The claims adjuster did not even acknowledge receiving voicemails and emails regarding our claim Because of their poor service, our family has been forced to live separated for weeks following a storm due to our home being uninhabitable and our coverage not being upheld We were told we could get funds for a rental home after an adjuster came to assess the damages We waited two weeks for the adjuster to show up and then were told we would hear back with in two weeks It has now been weeks since the adjuster submitted his findings for our claim and a total of weeks since the storm damaged our home was reported to Bankers We have still yet to hear back the details of our claim

I had insurance through Bankers Insurance for my home for almost years and have never put in a claimThis year 2017, I put in a claim due to wind damage to my roof and it's been more than months and they have not processed my claim nor have I heard anything from themI have to constantly contact them to remind them about my claimThis is insane and with the damage to the roof and constant leaks is only causing more damageI do not recommend this company and will file a complaint if they don't speed up their process
