This was as sifee per the signed contract for the ***'s providedConsultation was offered, owner's list of items needed (part of our service) BDVR hand-walked the Land Use Permit for the said property and provided services per the contractThe City of Bend then asked for "Operator's Permit" to then be institutedThis was per an April 15, decision for new STR (Short Term Rentals) ordinances being establishedAll vacation rental owners located in Bend city limits are required to provided an "Owner's Permit"Mrs [redacted] proceeded to berate and accuse BDVR of NOT getting the Land Use Permit and when she received the request for the "Operators License"No level or perception seemed to take place and the ***'s demanded back their "sign-up" fee, per their perception of BDVR's unethical behavior.We indicated there would not be a refund as services had taken place and this was a sifeeThe unreasoning continued and rather then just continue to try to deal with more reasonable communication I made the decision to return half of the "Sign up" feeThe harassment continues in this form of complaintI have already compromisedI understand they are now signed up with " [redacted] " property management, who is an acquaintance who is aware of this incident.In summary, I am including the City of Bend letter explaining the New Operator's license decide long after the Land Use Permit was in placeI am also including the letter that displays Ms***'s lack of understanding and accusations of any unethical behavior and misrepresentationI am also including the signed contract from the ***'s.Note also the attached Land Use Permit acknowledgement from the City of Bend

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because:There was nothing in the signed contract indicating which permit, how much it would cost, or that any other permit was necessaryThis owner is taking advantage of clients by intentionally creating a vague contractThe sign up fee was typical for this type of business and was paid in full, and in good faith by meThe contract was cancelled days prior to being in effect which means there was no cost on the owners behalf of my account set upI have spoken with several property managers and all would refund the set up fee if the contract had not been initiatedThey are keeping my set up fee illegally since it was NOT specified in the contract that it was non refundable and it was not specified in the contract that it was for anything else but set up of my accountThis owner is being vindictiveThere has been no harrassment by meI have emailed a demand letter for my refund.The cancellation of the contract was for many other reasons not just the permit-including:The owner failed to answer a question by email and phone "Is the commission on net proceeds or gross proceeds? no answerThe owner failed to phone or show for an appointment with me at the propertyThe business has no in house housekeeping, which means that there will be different people in my home increasing the liklihood of theft, as indicated by previous yelp reviewsThis business has many poor reviews on yelp bringing into light this unethical behavior.Sincerely,*** ***
