I apologize for the delay by the company Charlies lift Service. I will call them for you and ask them to contact you immediately to complete the service you hired them to do.
Thank you,

After reviewing this claim further we see the that the service center we hired was not able to replicate the...

customers lift dropping unintentionally on its own.

Without admitting any fault, we will swap out the lift as a goodwill gesture at no charge to the customer.  We will be onsite at the end users address mid next week to handle it.

our 14,000 lb 4 post lift is used in our alignment bay I bet it is 7 0r 8 years old now this lift has held up well 6 days a week with heavy use the lift cylinder started to leak yesterday I will call bend pak monday morning and order a new one My past bend pak orders/parts for other lifts/balancers have always shipped right away. We have had less problems with our bendpak lifts than with our rotary lifts

Im getting ready to buy one maybe two.
Wow hopefully Bendpak has corrected its QC and public relations

Review: I bought a Bend pak air compressor model # LS7580V-601 2.5 year ago, It blew a head gasket already, I know it only has a 2 year warranty but this should not have happened already. I bought it through my local NAPA store so I contacted them for parts, they contacted Bend pac and were told the parts are not available at this time. One person said they don't make the parts anymore and you need to buy the whole compressor asly $500. That is unacceptable it is only 2.5 years old and there are no parts I have to buy a complete asly. That is unheard of. Then I said whatever I NEED my compressor and I was told 5-7 business days before I can have the compressor back working. WHAT!!!! My entire shop is in limbo with out a compressor. My last compressor was 18 years old and never had a problem before it died, the one in the shop before that was 40 years old!!! I will NEVER EVER EVER buy or recommend Bend pak!!!!Desired Settlement: I need the parts to fix this one NOW

Review: I bought a bendpak 4 post drive on lift and received it early 2011 along with the caster kit. (which is an old design and also does not work right). When I went to pick it up it had been damaged in shipping. I made notes with the shipper before picking it up and took appropriate pictures. I contacted the company that week and they offered me a can of spray paint to touch it up and an accessory. Not the answer I wanted but I chose a bottle which was supposed to eliminate the need for running an air line to release the locks. It never worked. Once the hoist was set up and installed, I had many problems. The locks would not all release every time, the hoist was slow to go down when empty etc. I called again and they offered to send a local tech out to look. He was a joke. It didnt fix my problems and now I had a leaking lock release switch. I called about the switch and they sent a new one. When I called back (repeatedly to the same salesman) I could not get an answer or return call. Until I threatened to go higher. Then I got a new salesperson months later. He sent someone else as well as a new hydro cylinder which was also now leaking and this company was able to fix some of the issues. The salesman again offered me an accessory but anything I could use they wouldnt give nor even offer me a discount price. They sent me the air/electric station which I have yet to use as I dont need it. He also made it very clear that my warranty was over. I said numerous times for them to get it out of my garage and refund me but they just kept throwing accessories at me to keep me quiet. Now the paint is peeling off of most of the runways and it is rusting. Less then 2 years old. and no warranty. All I got was terrible service runaround and 'lets give him a gift to keep him quiet until his warranty is out' mentality. So now I have a hoist that still wont work right, is rusting away, and has no warranty or service that I cant move around my garage. Great business practice.Desired Settlement: Im not sure at this point what will make this right. I want the company to take responsibility for its customer service practices and to stand behind the products they sell, not hide behind a "free gift" fix. Refund? Replacement or different product? I dont know.

Sirs:

I have pulled the files on Mr. Dailys lift and I will go through the file to make sure any issues were addressed according to our warranty policy provided with the lift when purchased.

The lift was shipped and invoiced on 01/12/2012 and the 1 year warranty started on that date. Conway Freight took delivery of the the shipment and held it at a dock for pickup. It was reported to us that Conway Freight had scuffed and scratched the lift cosmetically. Even though cosmetic issues are not a manufacturers defect covered under our warranty policy, we felt obliged to assist wherever possible. As our way of helping to make up for the carriers mistake of scratching the lift, we offered compensation to the customer of an air bottle kit, 4 drive up ramp stops and touch up paint all valued at $270.80 plus freight. This was in no way our reputable 45 year old company hiding behind a free gift. This was us saying "sorry that the carrier scratched your lift, even though this is between you and your carrier, we would like to help where we can. please accept some compensation for their issue."

I then show that a push button air valve had an issue so we rushed out FEDEX 2nd day air at our expense, even though our warranty policy only covers ground shipping.

I then show that we paid to have a service center come and install the free compensation items that we had shipped earlier.

A leaking hydraulic cylinder was reported to us and we shipped out a new cylinder.

The free air bottle we sent was reported as leaking, so we rushed out FEDEX 2 day the needed parts as a goodwill and hired someone to come out to take a look at it as a good will gesture, because this is not a warranty item. We also asked the service center to put in the hydraulic cylinder and air valve that were warranty issues while there.

The customer was not satisfied with the free goodwill air bottle kit so a different item was offered that is used as a workstation for his 4 post lift. This workstation is valued at $320.00 and was given at no charge.

No other defects or issues have been reported.

I see the warranty has expired 11 months ago. If there is something else that is not working that we can address, as always during the last almost 2 years, we are willing to help whereever we can.

Thank you,

Review: We bought BendPak Four Post lift about 2 years ago. To do Wheel Alignments. Machinery routinely needs maintenance and BendPak offered a certified technician [redacted]s Lift Services. We have had numerous problems with the lift. From Locks not releasing to bring the lift down to not providing updated products this lift requires. When ever I used this lift, I have been in fear that it may collapse. Last year in September we contacted [redacted] to relocate our lift to a new location. He did. And notified us that certain parts were updated in the lift and that he'll order them and install them. Now we are in February 2015. Constant back and forth with [redacted], and [redacted]. From Bendpak not receiving requests for the parts to [redacted] receiving parts but not coming to do the work. This lift has been completely abandoned by me. And i'm just tired of waiting and talking on the phone that [redacted] would come this day or that. The lift has occupied space but has provided no income.Great products and technicians from BendPak. I can forward all emails concerning this to the appropriate Revdex.com representative.Desired Settlement: Complete service of our lift. We have been waiting now for almost five months.

Review: We bought this LS15RS Rotary Screw Air Compressor manufactured by BendPak, we need a 3 phase 230V/240V, they sent us a 3 phase 440V said that's all they carry, we would have to rewire our whole area in order to use this Air Compressor which the estimated cost to rewire would be $9,000.00, we have been going round and round with them since August of 2011, they are all blaming one another we bought from CARQUEST which is Tool & Equipment, Tool & Equipment (Tom) say's that CARQUEST went through someone else which was Garage Equipment (Gabe), Garage Equipment say's BendPak sent us the wrong product, BendPak (June) say's that they have discontinued this item, and that they are not the manufacturers that someone else is, they just stamp their name on it, but won't give us the name of the other manufacture.Desired Settlement: We are not asking for our money back we would just like to replace this item with something we can use that's compatible to what we need voltage wise, 3 phase 230V/240V

Response:

I am very sorry to hear about the issues you have had with your purchase from 2 years ago with Carquest. I see you have recently contacted us, BendPak, for assistance in order to swap this unit for a different voltage. I will be glad to help you do that. I would like to resolve this for you by swapping out that compressor with a different voltage of your choosing that we carry. I will email you directly in order to resolve this to your satisfaction. Review: Around October 23, 2015 I purchased a brand new Bendpak Specialty Lift SP-7X.I paid $4,370 all on my debit card.

The lift was delivered to me about a week later. I was aware of the unloading of this product so I had my forklift with 8 feet extension to unload this lift.

I called a professional installer ($650) that Bendpak recommended to me.

Day 1: The wrong fittings for the flow divider was sent with this lift so the technician was not able to install this lift. That's 3 business days of lost revenue.

Day 4: The correct fittings was sent to me. This time they figured it was the transformer and relay box had malfunctioned...another 3 business days lost of revenue.

Day 7: I received all necessary part and the technician was able to get this unit working. I was happy that it work. To compensate for my lost of revenue Bendpak gave me 4 plastic blocks worth about $200..... really? Thanks anyways.

Day 30: After using this lift for less than 30 days the lift had problems with one of the side. One side was refused to come all the way down so it protruded about 5 inch off the ground. I called Bendpak and the first thing they said was "It was my fault for not unloading the lift correctly..." that was nice. Well... I did unload this product correctly. Bendpak could ask Conway trucking to confirm this. Anyways, Bendpak still put the blame on the customers and still came out and replaced the hydraulic system and "fixed" it. The lift now protrudes about 1 inch. Which is still a hazard but I could do away with some adjustments.

Day 40: Today one of the lift locks did not raise when I pushed the vale release button (supposedly fixed 10 days earlier) I went and take a look and the hose where the air suppose to come in broke off.... If it weren't for my experience. I could have easily tipped the car over and who knows what could happened.

Why Bendpak? I purchased a brand new lift manufactured on October 27, 2015 and hired professionals to install my product. Why is it functioning like this? Where is QC?Desired Settlement: I would like Bendpak to take back this malfunctioned lift from Day 1 and exchange me a new one. Bendpak must pay for the installation as well.

Review: Purchased 4 new Bendpak automotive lifts (two XPR-10A, one XPR10A168, and one HDS-14LSX). Hired a Bendpak warranty agent to perform installation ($3300). Three of the four lifts (75%) have major manufacturing defects rendering them unusable (i.e. defective carriages on two lifts, defective pump/motor that smokes and lift immediately falls when motor is off, missing airline kit for 4 post, missing rear slip pad pins, frozen rollers on rolling jacks, etc). The Benpak warranty agent performing the install gave up and left without completing the install (i.e. limit switches not wired, bolts loose, wiring hanging out on three lifts, trash piles everywhere and damaged floors). Bendpak and the Bendpak warranty agent have been going back and forth for 2 weeks and couldn't come to agreement on the parts, effort and reimbursement required to fix the lifts. This week we were informed by Bendpak that a different warranty agent will be performing the repairs due to cost. We have emailed and called Bendpak several times speaking with Simon Mach and Joel Moldenado. After 2 weeks Bendpak finally shipped some of the parts via bulk freight (a week to arrive) so it will be another week before we receive the first shipment of parts. By the time we receive the first shipment of parts, which will only fix part of the lifts, it will have been 3 weeks and will have cost our business over $6000 in delays. In addition Bendpak refuses to replace the defective motor/pump which their own warranty agent says is defective and needs to be replaced (electric motor smokes and lift immediately falls when motor is off). Bendpak instead insists on shipping small parts one at a time so that we can try to self diagnose the pump/motor failure causing even more delays and costing our business even more money. Nobody at Bendpak seems concerned/embarrassed by a 75% failure rate of their product or concern for the safety of auto technicians that have to work under these lifts. Bendpak doesn't have a sense of urgency to fix these issues.Desired Settlement: we have zero confidence in the safety or long-term quality/performance of these Bendpak products given the 75% failure rate of new equipment and the extremely poor customer/warranty service we have experienced. Our business has already incurred over $6000 due to delays in repair and that number is climbing daily. Nobody at Bendpak has even apologized for these issues. We request Bendpak remove their lifts and reimburse our business for the purchase and installation costs of their products.

Response:

I apologize you are having any issues. I see the parts were shipped to fix the concerns you had. I will check with the onsite technician to see if there are any open repairs needed. I do not show where smoke was reported to us, which is why the smaller part was diagnosed as the issue. I will pass on this new smoke information so we can get you a new power unit going right away.

Review: On 4-14-15 we had a bend-pak four posted lift install at my shop, since then the repair man has been here twice to fix issues. We have problems with the lift hopping when it goes up and when it goes down, we contacted the rep from pepboys who sold us the lift and sent him a video showing him how the lift is hopping when a car is raised or lowered, he then contacted the man that put the lift in (L[redacted]) and he was suppose to be here two weeks ago. On Wednesday 6-10-15 I was contacted by a F[redacted] from bend pak and explain my situation and was told he would be calling me back. Today 6-12-15 I called F[redacted] and he told me he overnighted me parts for the lift but the parts never left the warehouse and he told me that he was going to call me back once he found out what happened to my parts. I questioned F[redacted] and asked him how could he send me parts for the lift when he never saw what was happening and he said he knew what parts I needed by my description of the problem. I explained to him that we can use the lift because my mechanics are afraid to use that lift, and we are now down to two lifts and a loss of revenue for three weeks now. I explained to him that I want that lift fixed by next friday 6-19-15 and I was told that will never happen. I think this is horrible how we have a lift only 2 months old and we can't use it because bend pak refuses to stand by there product.Desired Settlement: We would like an extended warranty and we want this lift fixed ASAP.

I am rejecting this response because: We only had the lift for two months and within the first two months the left front post lock broke, then the hydraulic motor went and then yesterday they replace the original plastic blocks with brass ones. If they were able to diagnose our problem with the plastic blocks being bad over the phone means that they have had this problem before. I feel they knew the plastic lift blocks were crap front the beginning and finally replaced them with the brass ones after repeated complaints. Also for a month we lost sales on wheel alignments and was short one bay limiting the amount of cars we could service. We want a one year extended warranty, if not we will voice our opinions about the bend pak company when asked and we will submit honest reviews on their web site. We are a company that has been in business for 18 years and I have never seen such poor customer service from any company.
