I am rejecting this response because it is patently untrue as is clearly demonstrated by looking at the attached email correspondence, which was also attached to my initial complaint Contrary to MrB***'s statement that the boards "broke upon assembly," as you can see from the March 25, email, my complaint was that one board was missing and two others were broken upon arrival After MrB*** gave me a "it's not my problem" response, I informed him that I would do what is necessary to protect my rights He then offered to cure.
MrB***'s assertion that we spoke on the phone is patently untrue MrB*** and I have never spoken over the phone All of our correspondence has been through email, all of which are attached hereto As you can see form his response, there was never been the suggestion that I would again pay for shipping MrB***'s statement is a lie, and, if this is not settled by the Revdex.com and progresses to formal legal action, will be immediately verifiable by checking his phone records
As to MrB***'s assertion that I made a mistake with my order, MrB*** never asked for which way to run the grain, and it was assumed that all boards would be cut the same (which I believe is a reasonably assumption based on the fact that MrB*** got the longer board correct) MrB***'s attempt to skirt is contractual obligations is one thing, but his clear dishonesty, demonstrable through written correspondence, is unacceptable.

Dear Representative Revdex.com [redacted]Respondant to complaint ID [redacted] Customer [redacted] ordered 6 pieces of barnwood to make book shelves. He included the dimensions he wanted each piece cut to size. We shipped his order from PA to CO and received an email from him...

that the boards broke upon assembly. He then called and told us that they broke because the shelves were 12”x14” but he wanted the 14” side of the shelves cut with the grain of the wood which he forgot to include with his dimensions. I told [redacted] when he called that we would send him new shelves according to his new instructions at no charge due to his simple mistake but he would have to pay for shipping. He was outraged and threatened legal action. I told him we would have his shelves ready to ship when he had arranged shipping and have been waiting for word since. I believe I was more than fair with my customer to satisfy his mistake and have made efforts to help ease his complaint. I stand by my offer to replace his custom cut order for free even though he forgot to complete his instructions.Regards,Jesse B[redacted] Benedict Antique Lumber
