[redacted] and [redacted] came into Benedict Corporation on September 24, 2016 for service. [redacted] and [redacted] had come into the dealership more than once in the past year to trade out of their 2015 GMC Sierra2500. [redacted] and [redacted] have been telling us that it was extremely difficult to get [redacted] in and out of...

thevehicle they currently owned so they wanted to trade it for something that was easier for him to get inand out of to transport him to doctors appointments. The [redacted]s mentioned that they also use the vehicleto tow. Mr. [redacted] asked if the truck had a towing package and we replied yes it has the factory Z82trailering equipment. We asked them what they needed to tow and they told us their camper weighs6,300 pounds. Mr. [redacted] asked what engine was in the truck. We told him that it has the 4.3L V6, 3.42rear axle ratio and has 7,100 pounds of towing capacity. Jamie [redacted] and [redacted]ssister went for a demonstration drive. When they brought the vehicle back , we went through towingcapabilities, all of the equipment and the financial numbers for [redacted] and [redacted] in writing. After fourhours of going through all of the information, financial and equipment, and numerous questions, the[redacted]s asked if we would throw into the deal running boards and a bed liner, they said they wouldpurchase the truck. We accommodated them. After the purchase, [redacted] and [redacted] brought thevehicle back with a concern. We handled the concern quickly and efficiently. The concern was a looseground wire which we verified and corrected. The following Saturday, October l, 2016, after purchasing the vehicle, [redacted] and [redacted] said they wanted aintegrated brake controller, which was not on the truck they purchased. Then they changed directionand wanted to trade their truck on a vehicle that had an integrated brake controller. At that time, westill possessed the 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 that the [redacted]s had traded in. The [redacted]s never asked us to sellthem back their original vehicle and we assumed it was because [redacted] could not get in and out of thisvehicle easily. They walked the entire used truck line with Paul [redacted], Sales Manager, and Trip[redacted], our Dealer Principal. They asked if they could trade it in on a 2013 Ford F-150 Crew Cabwhich has an integrated brake controller and we said yes. But before purchasing we suggested theyhook up their camper to it and make sure it had everything that they needed. We offered to drive theFord F150 to their home on a day that was convenient for them. When we got to the [redacted]s residence, their camper was unregistered and could not be hooked up anddriven. [redacted] and [redacted] came back to the dealership the following Monday and our Sales managerPaul [redacted] sat down with them in our conference room to figure out a solution. Mr. [redacted] becamebelligerent, started name calling, and Paul told him that if he was going to be disrespectful, that he wasgoing to have to leave. The [redacted]s left the dealership.Benedict Corporation is still willing to work out a solution with the [redacted]s. We never misrepresented thetruck. We explained all of the features extensively. In fact it was so extensive that the [redacted]s were at thedealership four or five hours and we answered all of their questions professionally and accurately. In conclusion, if the [redacted]s want a different vehicle, we would be more than happy help them find exactlywhat they want.Noel [redacted]Dealer PrincipalBenedict Corporation

Yes we had come in to the dealership about a year ago to see if there was a company that makes a truck with the same towing capabilities as what we have with the 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 that will tow our camper and has a lower down step up into the truck.  And all that Benedicts wanted to do was sell us another NEW truck that was no lower down than ours.  So we assumed they didn't make one lower so we decided to keep the 2015 GMC that we had and not look anymore, we can make due with a small step stool.
So now on Sept 24, 2016 we come in to get the 2015 GMC inspected then go get groceries then go home. They said there was also a recall on it so they would also do that at this time. So we went across the street for breakfast, when we came back to get our truck they met us outside and told us they had a deal for us.  We really didn't want to go in and go thru all of this pressure again. But we were trying to be polite and listen to them.I never took [redacted] to doctor appointments with the 2015 GMC, we have a car for that.  We told Jamie [redacted] and Paul [redacted] over and over again that we only use our 2015 GMC for hauling the 30 foot camper.  This explains why we had LESS than 5,000 miles put on it in 2 years of owning it.  And we bought it off of Benedicts brand new.  We would never want anything that would not haul our camper! Jamie and Paul kept telling us that the 2014 Chev Silverado 1500 would pull our camper well even over the hills up North to the Adi[redacted]dack mts. that we go to camping.  That it was rated for 9,000 lbs of towing capability.  Which after we bought the 2014 Chev we found out from another dealer that it was not rated for 9,000 but only 7,100 lbs of towing capacity.  When we confronted Jamie with this she hushed up and went in the back room them came back and said yes it is 7,100.  Then Paul just said I don't recall saying 9,000.  We don't recall them telling us the gear ratio.  Jamie Vosburg said it had a V6 with the power of a V8 and it would tow our camper, trust me, and  it won't I will buy your camper. We only asked if it had a full towing package and they said yes.  We assumed it meant it had all that our 2015 GMC had to haul our camper safely. You can't haul something that big with no break controller.  We got it home when we noticed that it had no break controller.   We have no idea what z82 trailering equipment means.  If they knew this was too small of a truck they should have said it won't handle our camper.  If they would have told us at the time of purchase that the ratioo was only 7,100 (which they told us it was 9,00) I would have said NO DEAL IMEDIATELY, because I know we add over 1,000 lbs more in camping gear, water and [redacted]'s big oxygen tanks (medical equipment which is very heavy) for his breathing over the 6,300 lbs of the bare camper.Yes, after 4 hrs of them  badgering us to the 2014 Chev and promising it would haul our camper, we gave in.  Of course we asked them to throw in a bed liner and running boards, LOOK at the DEAL they got with our 2015 GMC
