Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:I would rather have new books as I stated in my complaint, however, Ruth did not say the reprint will be as far away as the fall of this year. But if you want to refund my money instead I need
you to send me a check for the amount I paid for the books plus the cost to ship them back to you. I trusted you to send me decent book and I got old stinky books. Also my complaint was addressed to Ruth Lust who is the only person I ever spoke to and that was only one time. She sounded like an elderly person. The conversation was started using the same statement in this response from Karl Lust about the family business. Ruth said she did receive all my messages that I had left on their voicemail. I have not spoken to a receptionist. Furthermore, if you have a receptionist why don't she or he answer the telephone? Either something is not right about this business or Karl has me confused with someone else. In his response to my complaint he indicated that he sent me "banks as I requested it" not books. Not true. Later on he is offering a book price of $per copy. No comment on that statement. If he thought he wrote $8.95, well there are other vendors selling the book for much less and some much more and by the way, that is for the latest reprinted version. MrKarl Lust should have my phone number and he can call me anytime

Review: After calling [redacted] Publications and leaving messages three or four times concerning a book titled The Grape Cure by Johanna Brandt in respond to an ad passed on to me by my local book store which was printed from their computer, I finally received a call from Ruth [redacted]. Ms. [redacted] told me she found two book that she would send if I would send a check for $10 which I did do right away. The book advertised for $4.95. I also expressed to her that the books would be gifts to friends that had cancer or love ones with cancer. When I received the books they were in bad shape. They stink from water damage and being packed for quite a while. The books were very very old. In my local library we sell books that that for .10 cent or throw them in the trash. Also one of the books had what seem to be a mold stain. When I pull them from the packing envelope a handwritten price sticker fell to the floor which was written on a white label for $4.95 covering the book price of 95 cent ($0.95). I can not pass these books on to anyone. They are in bad shape. I want two new books that was promised to me by Ruth [redacted]. I did not agree to buy old books nor did the ad indicate old books. I have called several times to express my concerns and no one returned my calls.Desired Settlement: I would like Benedict Lust Publications to mail me two new books (The Grape Cure by Johanna Brandt)
