Benefiel's Tree Service

Review: In August of 2014, [redacted] and T[redacted] aka "* the Tree Guy" of Benefiel's Tree Service came to our home and told us that the tree in our front yard was dead and that it was in our best interest to have it taken down. They said that they would take the tree down, remove the lumber and remove the stump for a total of $525. We knew that the tree was in bad shape so we took their business card for future reference. A few months later, we were ready to have the tree taken down so we gave Benefiel's Tree Service a call back. [redacted] came a few days later and took down the tree. However, the stump was left but [redacted] and [redacted] insisted that I pay for the tree removal before any further work could be done. Also, they said they needed to reserve the proper equipment to remove the stump and that doing so would take a week or so. So, I gave them $450, as they requested, and after two weeks, I called back to see when they would be removing the stump. [redacted] told me he would reserve the equipment and he would be at our home the next to remove the stump. He never came when he said he would so I followed up again and he never called me back. Since then, we've been stood up by Benefiel's Tree Service twice, I have several calls to them that have gone unreturned and to date (March 9, 2015), Benefiel's Tree Service has failed to return to our property to finish the work they said they would do. I believe that we were scammed by dishonest door-to-door salesmen who posed as "arborists" that were only looking for quick money by taking advantage of homeowners. It is obvious that they do not want to put in the work to finish the difficult portion of the job we requested so they've completely ignored us instead of conducting customer service as any business should. I have given Benefiel's Tree Service several chances to make this right and they have failed to do so I would like to report them to the Revdex.com and I would also like to have the stump removed promptly.Desired Settlement: I would like the job that Benefiel's Tree Service and I agree upon completed as soon as possible. It has been several months and to date, this company will not return my phone calls or show up to appointments at my home that they say they will. They owe me a stump removal in my front yard.
