This particular client we did a repair forI quoted him to take the flashing apart and point the chimney because his bricks were bad as well as the roofHe didn't want to do that and wanted just to tarSo I said well I can do that but I'm not guaranteeing that's going to solve your problem
Some things you have to do the right wayThen a few months later he called me said there's a leak around that chimney againSo I went there and noticed it was indeed leakingI told him I'll put the scaffolding back up and see what's going onSo after we inspected it again I said we really need to solve this the right wayHe called someone else who came and tarred the whole chimney all the bad bricks and the chimney wash! Also the guy did other repairs to the porch and rear of the house so his invoice was expensive and then he sends me a bill for that guys repairs and expects me to pay saying there was inside damageThe inside damage was there before he let the roof leak for a long time before I ever even went thereHe's claim inside damage to make up the difference because the other contractor did work to the whole houseI offered him just because I wanted to make him happy and settle it We ended up going to court and the judge awarded him nothing the I offered to him that was half of what my repair was agreed by me and the judge
