Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business who explained that when the customer came to them, he made her aware that he was not able to provide her service without some money upfront because her father had left her mother's funeral costs unpaid, and he was not able to pay for her father's expenses out
of his own pocket as wellHe told her that he would take the $deposit that she made, and wait to see what the insurance paidHe said that what was left of the policy did not fully cover the father's funeral and that he still is just trying to recoup his losses for the mother's funeral that was left unpaid by her familyHe said that all of this was explained to the customer prior to working with her on her father's funeral costs, but that she is now asking for money back, because she paid something toward the funeral since the insurance would not cover everything, and that he is not able to give her a refund

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.After I was made aware that my Mothers funeral expense had not been paid, I was going to go to another funeral home service provider, which I said to Matt, and his response was that I was trying to circumvent him from receiving the business for my Fathers funeral, which I was not, I just did not think that he would want to handle his serviceThe deposit that was charged on credit card was for what we thought was the difference in what the life insurance policy was forThe policy was $more than I knewI have a signed agreement with the funeral home that shows how much the service was going to cost, as well as my CC receipt and a letter from life insurance policy as to what was paid outAt such a difficult time I did not even go over the itemized bill until a few months after my Fathers deathI can assure him and everyone that I paid way above what a service would actually cost for what was received, but I agreed to that which I am not disputing, just the fact that he pocketed the $which he is not legally entitled toSince this action that I have taken with the Revdex.com has not seemed to helped, I believe my next recourse will be small claims court which I have no doubt I will then finally get a resolution for this
