In regards to the matter involving *** *** ***, we have been and currently are workingwith the consumer to resolve the issuesWhen Ms*** purchased her bed, the items thatwere selected were special order merchandiseIt is normally our company policy to charge a35% restocking fee with
the remainder being store credit whenever a special order item ispurchasedWe have this policy in place to protect our companyWe also have this policy clearlystated at the bottom of our sales invoice, which we go over with the consumer at the time ofpurchaseWhen Ms *** had originally contacted her salesman Gil to express her dismayover the product not working the way she thought it would, Gil had offered to have our servicetechnician come out at no charge to see if he could adjust the frame to get it to work.Unfortunately this turned out to not be a viable option, so Gil had then proceeded to contact meand see if there was any way we could allow Ms *** to reselect something different thatwould work for her and waive any restocking fees, which we agreed to doI then reached out tothe consumer to go over the options with her, which unfortunately, between her leaving memessages and me leaving her messages, it took about days before we connectedWhen Ilast spoke with Ms *** on Wednesday 11/22, she had agreed to come back into the storeand let us help her find something that would work for her needs, which she did do this pastSunday 11/We also delivered out the chair that she referenced in her complaint this pastSaturday 11/On 12/2, Ms *** came back into the store and reselected something thatwill work for her, and I believe that the entire matter is resolved, and I can assure you that weare doing everything that we can to make this right by Ms ***.Please feel free to contact me at any time if any further information is needed.Sincerely,Jaci ***General ManagerBennington Furniture** *** *** *
