Paid to fix shower and it is not fixedI would like to file a complaint with Revdex.com on the Benny James Service Company. I contacted[redacted]. James last fall to repair my daughter's shower, one of our air units, and our dishwasher.[redacted]. James stated that the air units and the dishwasher needed to be replaced, and he said he could repair my shower. He wanted $7,000 to replace the one unit and put in air ducts. We contacted another service, and they repaired the air unit for under $500 and replaced a part in the dishwasher. Benny did put a part in my daughter's shower. Our bill was over $600. My daughter used her shower twice and now the shower has no water coming out. She has been using our shower for months. When she told me it didn't work,I contacted[redacted]. James. I spoke with him and he said he would check his records. When he didn't call me back, I called him again. Then I got a text message saying he had tried 3 times, and I could call someone else for my problem. He never called me! He then told me I must be having a bad day. I wanted the Memphis community to be aware of his practices and that[redacted] James does NOT stand behind his work. Desired SettlementRepair the shower!Business Response 8-12-14Good Morning[redacted],We repaired a shower at said address on 6/22/2013. It was in proper working order when we left. We then get a call in March 2014 (9 months later) that the same shower is malfunctioning. All plumbing work we do is guaranteed 3 months, due to the high usages of sinks, showers, tubs, etc. These people wait 9 months to call back. On our invoice, dated 6/22/2013, there is no stated or implied warranty written. Had there been, it would have said 3 months...and I would have been glad to come make good on it if they would have called back within 3 months. So as we sit now, they wait 9 months after the repair was made to voice a complaint, and we have tried calling back 3 times and left 3 separate messages. When this person says, "He never called me", it makes me wonder how they missed 3 voice mails from us. We certainly stand behind what we do, and we have for over 40 years. I would say that with the amount of time that has lapsed since original repair (1 year and 2 months), and the fact that no call was returned on 3 different occasions, we will unfortunately be unable to warranty shower repair. I had them come out on 12-26-15 for est on furnace. they installed it on XX XX XX and it is blow out cold air. they have been out 2 maybe 3x since installation about the cold air but not fixed yet. they will not return calls / text and I have had to call another co. to come out thurs 1/7/16 to see why it is very cold in here on 70-73 temp.. !!! I don't feel like I got the cust serv I should of gotten for the 1800.00 I wrote a ck for and on day of estimate they told me they would service my a c unit on installation day for furnace and they didn't as it stormed big time that a m and had they gotten anywhere near my a c unit there would of been shoe prints. I feel I have been done wrg. and I don't want anyone else to go thru this. I did tell them all ok when they were here time before last as I thought it was until cold air as blowing out again. they should of made things right after all they are supposed to be a reputable co..p s from complaint I filed a little bit ago the time before last when they came out I knew they weren't telling me the truth I knew when they came out the day to install furnace that they fibbed about going in back yard to work on/service a c unit and the time before last (the grandson and the guy that actually installed it )when they were out here that they weren't being honest w/ me about going in back yard to ck out my a c unit. I was referred to this co. by a very reputable honest Christian man and I felt like I had to believe them knowing they weren't being honest w/ me at all about checking my a c unit out as after all it stormed big time that a m and there was no shoes / feet prints anywhere near the a c unit AND if you think it is to old to clean / service it why would you put Freon in it which they didn't do as they fibbed about that as the owner told me on 1/4/16 mon. when he came out here it has to be at least 70 outside to deal w/ a c unit and again NO feetprint near unit at all and no grass but dirt by a c unit so you would be able to see proof in the mud !! it is hard to admit when you are wrg and not telling the truth to cust. but I am expecting that .I know I am right and have been done very wrg by benny james and co. ! they had opportunity to make it right but didn't return my calls/ text yest. or today. the grandson had me make ck out to benny james and not co. name which I didn't feel comfortable doing at all !!! I will never use co.again and put them on angies list w/ F's !! I believe in cust serv but didn't get it from someone that I thought would do me right since referred by a very Christian reputable honest businessman !!!!! on 12/26/15 they told me what they would do on 12/28/15 and it didn't all get done nor did was it done right what did get done !!!!Desired Settlementa refund of some of my money if not all !!!apology and refund of some amt for having to get another co. come ck things out for me and for me being extremely cold in house and also the unit makes a loud noise at times when coming on and it literally sounds like someone trying to break in my house so needless to say I haven't slept much since unit was installed as I jump up 3-5x a night scared to death and I let them know that . to me this unit is worse than one I had even tho other was about 23 yrs old !!!!Business Response Dear Mrs. [redacted] Company, Inc. has been proudly serving [redacted] in the HVAC industry since 1975.We are thankful for our thousands of loyal customers and do all we can to take great care of them.That is the case as well with this customer.Unfortunately, after completion of work, she makes call after call and some 50-60 texts saying we did not do her right.We went back out quickly on each call back (3 times) only to find everything in proper working order.On our final visit, she verbally said to me and 2 of my men that she was very satisfied regarding all work performed. That would include adding Freon to her AC unit for free.($300 value). For some reason she does not want to believe we checked her AC, but we did....again for free.We at [redacted] believe in helping widows, which she is. The work we performed for $1,800. 00 was $600-700 under market value. In conclusion, I feel this customer is a lonely individual with the need to talk to anyone that will listen. It seemed as if each time we came back to her house, all she wanted to do was talk.Hopefully she will find some friend(s). She will not be getting any refund from us.This will be my only reply to this.Sincerely, [redacted]Consumer Response Ms. [redacted], they only stayed a few mins after (fixing) my concern and yes I told them it was working but it didn't last for whatever they did was a quick fix and no it wasn't working up to my satisfaction . it was very cold in my home and I do mean very !!! this company had even a remark on angies list that if you wanted to buy new equipment every few yrs that this is the co. to call. I am NOT a lonely widow. I have been a talker all of my life and I believe in cust. service and I did NOT get it w/ this co. and apparently it is because the original owner Mr. [redacted] let his son or son in law run the heat/ air portion of co. and they don't care and not so sure that he even cares about cust serv as maybe they all take their cust for granted. I will never ever use this co. again !!!!! NO they did not go in my yard and put Freon in a c unit and even [redacted] said you don't put Freon in the a c unit at this time of yr.. I have been a member of angies list for yrs and have given out many A's all except for 4 which were F's as I tell it like it is and if more people would do surveys on companies and tell the good and or bad then people would know who they could really trust and who is the best ones to deal w/. !!! I have given about 200 comments on companies w/ angies list so you can see I take cust serv very serious !!!!
