On Sunday, August 6,Mr*** came to our store on Atwood AveCranston, RI to have two tires replaced on his *** ***. The tire installer raised the vehicle, installed the two front tires
and upon lowering the vehicle, he noticed that the vehicle was at an awkward angle. After looking under the vehicle, he noticed that the driver’s side suspension strut was broken from its mounting point Mr*** was then notified as to what the mechanic found. Mr*** was told by our manager, Mr*** ***, that if the damage was our fault, we would be liable for the repair Mr*** stated to Mr*** that he had been hearing a noise from the front of his car, but didn’t know what it was Mr*** was given the option to have the vehicle sent to our service center in Providence, RI or have a local independent repair center, * * * *** *** look at the car. Mr*** *** from * * * *** *** was sent photos of the broken strut by our tire installer. *** from * * * came to Benny’s to look at the vehicle on Monday, August 7, 2017. *** stated that the suspension strut broke prior to Benny’s touching the car. This was evident because the metal was already rusty where it had broken apart and had been damaged for some time. *** said “The break could not have been done by lifting and lowering the vehicle” Attached is a picture taken by our installer showing the broken suspension strut
