Prior to purchasing a lawn mower at Benny's a customer is verbally told that a mower is covered by a manufactures warranty and is not to be returned to the store, also all mowers on the sales floor have signs stating policy pertaining to mower warrantyAt the point of purchase all customers receive

On or around Friday June 27th an unidentiñed customer came in with a sales receipt and a cut out piece of a cardboard box from a lawn mowerHe stated he wanted to return the mower for a refundI ( Store Manager *** ***) asked if he had used the mower or added gas and oil to itHe said the mower had something wrong with it, it was making a rattling noise and wouldn't stay runningI explained to him our store policy regarding lawn mowers, and directed him to the local authorized repair facilityHe wanted the phone number to our corporate office, I gave him the number
Later that afternoon I received a call from *** *** from our corporate, he explained that a customer Mr*** had contacted him regarding the lawn mower*** advised me that Mr*** would drop the mower off at the store and I would make arrangements to get it to a repair facility for him
On Sunday 6/29/Mr *** dropped his mower off at the storeOn 7/1/the mower was taken to Seekonk Small Engine and servicedIt was found to have hit something with the blade, the blade was redressed, balanced, and sharpened, the charge for this service was $and was paid by Benny's
Around 7/Mr*** came ín to the store to inquire about the mowerThe findíngs, result and balance due was explained to himHe stated it was his Mother's mower and he was not prepared to pay the balance and would be back
On 7/28/I called Mr*** to remind him that his mower was ready for pick up and the balance due was $He stated it was a matter between him, corporate, and the Attorney General
