[redacted] makes a valid point. The POS sign should absolutely have additional information on it, specifically the words “Terms & Conditions Apply. Ask for Details.” We will be taking...
steps to promptly rectify the situation to avoid the possibility of confusing or disappointing other guests.
Moreover, [redacted] said that she spoke with 2 of our employees who said that they had had several other complaints and that there was “nothing they could do.” Nothing could be further from the truth. First, our employees could and should have reported any complaints or problems immediately to the marketing where they would have been promptly addressed. Second, any [redacted]’s [redacted] is empowered to solve problems like these on the spot. [redacted]’s Mission Statement has one focus and one focus only: To Create Happy Guests. We will use [redacted]’s complaint as a tool to retrain both our staff and our managers in Bayside about what outstanding customer service looks like and how we expect our guests to be treated.
Finally, I would like to point out that [redacted]’s has a variety of tools which enable our guests to contact us directly by, phone, email, Facebook or Twitter whenever there is a problem that is not resolved to their satisfaction at store level or if they have any suggestions , compliments, questions or concerns.
[redacted]’s is a family-owned and operated company that has been in business for 42 years and we take great pride in providing our guests with excellent food, whether dining in, taking out or for catering, friendly service and clean, comfortable restaurants. Review: This Ben's Deli location has signs posted by their cash register offering a football shaped "souper bowl champ's shopper" bag for sale for $2.99 which comes with two free soup coupons. The sign leads you to believe that each purchase of this football shaped bag come with two free soup coupons, period. No additional purchase requirement is mentioned. The cashier wrapped the coupons in my receipt, handed me the bag and I left. I returned to this location today intending to use one coupon, only to be told that an additional purchase of either an entre or sandwich is required. Signs still posted, I read them again, explained that no mention of an additional purchase is written anywhere on the sign and asked I they thought this was misleading. Two employees stated that they have had several complaints but there was nothing they could do. Stipulations are stated on the individual coupons, however, not on the sign which originally attracted us to the offer. The cashier mentioned nothing about an additional purchase.Desired Settlement: I would like Ben's Deli to replace the coupons with coupons that can be exchanged for two free bowls of soup requiring no additional purchase.
