Shady character! Do not trust David at Bensak.
He will tell you anything that will make him money. He pretended to install a new ink delivery system in our HP 360 and he replaced it with an extremely used one. Plus he charged us well over the retail price for it, with labor it cost us $3100. Fraudulent bill.
A few days later none of the chips on our inks were able to be read and after coming and trying to fix it many times, they said it was unable to be fixed and talked us into buying a new machine. Thank goodness we had someone else in, who told us we have an extremely old ink delivery system put in, and because Bensak had installed it incorrectly, that is why the chips on any new inks we installed were unable to be read. They fixed it. I will never deal with David at Bensak again. DO NOT trust him! And check that he is an authorized dealer for any machine, he has been kicked out by most dealerships for similar shady behavior.

Review: BenSak's owner, [redacted], and his technician, [redacted], promised my company and I a [redacted] CJV30-160 6-color Ink, that would use a safer ES3 inks (doesn't require professional ventilation), would be capable of printing on a specific paper (that can be heat pressed or transferred onto fabrics and other media), as well as a competent technician that would advise us during the entire process and afterward. What we got in return was excuse after excuse as to why the inks weren't working on the paper (did not dry and would smudge). Eventually they decided to take away the 6-color ink system (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black, White, Silver, L.Cyan, L.Magenta) and reto-fitted the machine to handle the SS21 Inks (CMYK only). Almost immediately after running a test print, some of my co-workers and myself began feeling sick because of the vapors. Upon further investigation with [redacted] USA directly, they urged me to read the MSDS of the Inks because the SS21 inks require a professional ventilation system due to fumes being heated during printing and as they dried. Upon reading the MSDS I learned that the fumes were: highly combustible, should be treated as carcinogens, and caused headaches and chest pains. The wasted ink collected in a jar should also be disposed of by a license facility. [redacted] and [redacted] did not make us aware of any of these potential catastrophic problems, they were willing to put profits ahead of the lives of my team and I. There only suggestion was to install fans and recommended we buy more fans to circulate the air. This printer cost $25K and the dedicated 4-color mimaki is faster than a retro-fitted 6-color converted to a 4-color. Overall, this was as Bait and Switch of a fraud as they come. For 2 days, I have made it clear to them that I will NOT maintain/clean the machine and asked them to retrieve it before the Ink head jets get clogged and it will cost them $3K to replace that component. This entire situation has been ongoing for the past 3 weeks when they delivered the machineDesired Settlement: I would like a full refund. I would also like for this company to be fully investigated to see how many other clients have been sold Inks/Printers they are not capable of safely using, I would like to do business with more reputable dealer, and I would like BenSak's business licensed to be revoked for potentially causing a fire with his Inks fumes and subjecting us to carcinogens without informing us that we needed a professional ventilation system before we could qualify for the SS21 Inks.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your Answer Here]

It has been brought to my attention that it would be in my best interest to remove my complaint. I am reluctant to do so but I also do not want to lose my job over my boss' dealings with Bensak. The printer has been unusable since the day we received it due to lack of ventilation required. It is my boss' wish that I remove this complaint, I was unaware that I needed my boss' authorization to seek the Revdex.com's assistance but if that's the case then yes I will have to withdraw my complaint.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.

Review: My Name is [redacted]. I started off trying to purchase a Mimaki CJV30160 from [redacted] I had it set to go and before I was able to get them the payment. They all had been sold. I found [redacted] and Bensak still had these printers in stock. they were advertising on [redacted] and online. I called [redacted] and they said they were out of these printers. I said that thats funny that you could be out when you have live auctions going on [redacted]. He said well let me check. so he passed me on to a [redacted] ( I think it was) and we talked. so the price was almost 1300 dollars higher than [redacted] was going to sell it to me for. Somewhere in between here I was connected to [redacted] at Bensak. This is about three calls in to [redacted] or Bensak now. At this point I’m talking w [redacted] (Bensak) he says 13800.00 is the best he can do for me for the cjv30160. this is the exact price they were asking and the same price they had the [redacted] auctions going for. I asked if it would come w a set of ink and a starter kit of vinyl and installation?(this was what [redacted] was offering me). He said it would come w ink and would not come w any vinyl. It would come w install and short training session. FYI [redacted] was offering a full day of training after the printer was installed. At this point I said I would like to purchase this printer. [redacted] asked me where to send it. I said I was waiting on a lease to be approved and that I would need to ship to my home. [redacted] said he would rather wait till he could send it to where it was going to be installed at. it was not good on them to ship all over the place. I would need them to hold it at their facility for a week or so till I had the lease signed on my building. They said ok that would be fine.In Between here I have had payment sent to their bank account like they asked. I thought this was kind of sketchy because I had no proof or piece of mind when I sent them money. but they did follow through w the invoice emailed to me stating that I had paid for the machine. So a week or so later after the machine had been paid for I called [redacted] back and asked since I've just purchased a brand new printer from you would you make me a deal on some products. I said I would like a wrap kit ( printable vinyl and laminate for automobiles) and a roll of canvas and an extra set of ink. He says why don't I give you the vinyl and canvas and you install the printer yourself. At this time I explained that I personally had had lots of problems w my last printer and was not a graphic artist nor a tech. I said I didn't think this was a good idea. We had a 2007 Hp 8000s previous and never had training etc and had nothing but problems. I said let me think about it. He assured me that it would be easy and it is an easy machine to operate. This would also mean that there would be no training for us. I called back the next day and said yes I would do that deal and install it myself. I also bought a set of extra ink to go along w these other products. So they called me and asked when my lease was going to be signed and I said I've been told any day now for the last week. They said they needed to get it shipped. I said well you can ship it to my house if you want. they said no that they will wait for me to get into the new building. I said ok… I called and said its time to ship I got the contract signed and have keys to the new building. like three or four days go by and I have called and sent emails. Now I'm super worried that Id been duped. Finally they sent me a email and then called and let me know not to worry that it had been shipped and gave me a tracking number. I looked up the

tracking number and it was to be a certain date. I cant remember what it is now. so I was going by that date. I get a call 34 days before that date from the driver of the shipping company. He says hes at my building. I tell him thats not what the tracking number said. He said when could I be there I was 30 miles away down the I 75. I told him I could be there in 2530 mins tops. He said He couldn't wait. I said please we had been waiting for a while and it would be better to get it off the truck today. I did about everything but beg him. He said nope that he would be back tomorrow. I called to get an eta on the delivery the following morning. they said that that the printer had been moved off the truck and loaded onto different truck and they would have that driver call me an hour or so later this driver calls and says it will be late in the afternoon. I said thats fine we will be here. So this driver shows up w the printer and big long boxes stacked on top it the first thing I see. It is marked all over the printer not to stack anything on it. I think its just bad business to deliver a 14000 printer to someone and not follow the instructions on the thing. The next thing I notice is how tore up the pallet is that the printer is on. it was barely holding together. we had to remove full boards that were nailed to the bottom of the pallet to get the forklift under it to pick it up. when we got it off the truck and into the shop and set down. I noticed a few areas around the the container that were dented and had holes in them. I asked the driver what about these dents in the box. He said “ those don't look like any damage to me “ I said ok but what if it is? ( I had no intention of opening this box till the painting was done and the shop was cleaned up) He says well you will have to take that up w the people you got the printer form. “Im just the driver”.First thing I did was take pictures of this crate to have some kind of proof if the printer was damaged. A week and half later or so wasn't keeping track of the days. I opened the box and started putting the printer together. I got the legs put together and had four guys help me lift it up and remove the box and set it onto the legs. we started running the bolts in to the main body to attach the legs and thats when I noticed the big dent in my brandnew printer. This business has taken every dime I have and have had to borrow as much money as I could and am still struggling. this was a sad moment to me. I drive a old car and this printer was like a new car to me, that came w a big dent in the door. I called [redacted] immediately and told him. he called the shipping company and I also talked w a [redacted] at Bensak. I sent them pictures of the packaging/crate and the dent in the printer itself. they said they would get back to me. [redacted] and another guy from the shipping ins claims called me on a 3 way and they started acting like it was my fault because I wasn't there for the driver the first day they tried to drop it at my building. and because it had been almost two weeks since I opened it. I told them it wasn't my fault that they didn't call the day before to let me know that the tracking info wasnt correct and that the driver couldn't wait a measly half hour for me to get there! I told them that I had nothing in my shop that could make damage like that to this crate. I was really mad that this had a dent in it and that they are pointing a finger at me. I love this stupid printer. My life is revolving around it at this point. To be frank… So they say ok we will get back to you. I think I called [redacted] back and asked what's the deal? He said there is no deal. I can send the printer back and have a refund. ( this is after it has been put together) He doesn't have

another one to give me and he would be more than happy to have it back because he could sell it for 1617000 because there aren't any more and had had offers from his customers if he could find one for this amount. I said I don't want to send it back I just want a tech to check it out and to know if it is broken or not… he said well turn it on and we did but my graphic artist wasn't in town and I really don't know how to run the machine. thats not what I do. we did check to see if it was throwing an error. He said the only thing he would do for me was to order the part that was damaged in shipping in 6 months when the claim goes through and send it to me and I could install it. I told him that I was not a printer tech that I can barely turn this thing on. that that wasnt right of him and that I couldn't believe that he would treat a brand new client like this and that I thought it was bull [redacted] I told him that he should at least give me a extended warranty for the printer since I have to accept a damaged one. He said to think about it overnight and call him the next day. I did. He said so thats it you can either keep it how it is or pack it up and send it back. he asked me how I feel about it. I told him I wasn't happy at all! Since then I have tried to contact [redacted] several times. He did call me back and left a message to call him and I've done the same. so In the mean time I've been working w/ a new printer and having all kinds of problems and we have been on the phone w Mimaki many times now and have destroyed about 5070 feet of prints for different reasons to find out. We finally talked to someone there that I won't mention at this time and he gave some info to get my problem to the right people to get something done. w in this time they told us our printer ink rights had been given to someone else. They asked did I know this. I said What are ink rights. They said Bensak didn't offer them to you. I said Id never heard the term till then. I guess I was to be offered to use Mimaki ink for 1 year and they would give me a set of ink and an additional year warranty. I said well that would have been awesome and I would totally have done that being that I don't plan to use any other kind of ink any way. Then on top of all this the rolls of auto wrap were sample rolls not full rolls like I thought I was getting. we can get these from 3M for free. and the printer didn't come w a blade either for th cutter so we had to buy one [redacted] told us. I said I can't believe a brand new printer comes w o a cutting blade for the cutter. Blows my mind how this company is operating. Im sure theres more Im forgetting. I hope this matters to someone. I will be sending this letter to mimaki Bensak the Revdex.com and the Attorney general. I may make a blog or post online how I feel also.Desired Settlement: I want an extended warranty for my Mimaki cjv30-160, I want the part to be fixed that was damaged in shipping by a [redacted] tech not Bensak inc. employee. I would also like to be compensated for all the trouble and time of this.
