During 2019, my insurance company processed my claims incorrectly. When I went to Bent Tree Physicians during 2019, I paid them promptly for each visit for the services provided even though I know that the insurance company was not processing the claims correctly.
On Dec 5, 2019, my insurance company paid Bent Tree Physicians for my office visits in 2019. I contacted Bent Tree Physicians to obtain a refund on 12/15/2019, 1/12/2020, and 2/2//2020. On Dec 17, 2019, *** in the billing office told me that she had calculated the amount due, and the office begins processing payments on Mondays. On Jan 16, 2020 *** emailed that the refund would be processed soon. I have not received a response to my email to them on Feb 2, 2020.
Now over two month later, I still have not received my refund of over $500. *** in the business office told me that I am due the refund. Why is the refund taking so long to process? Why are they holding my money? I would like a refund of my money immediately.

h, 2020. Your refund check had already been mailed on
February 19th, 2020. As you know, BTFP had filed your claims per the Information we had on your
Insurance card. It was not until December 18th, 2019 that we heard from you that you have an HRA
account. We reprocessed your claims Immediately which can take weeks to hear back from the
Insurance company, And the holidays added further delay. We apologize for the delay.

*** in the business office indicated to me on December 17, 2019 that they had received the duplicate payments from the insurance company and had calculated the refund due to me. There is no excuse for these doctors to take over two months to issue a refund check to me.
