LEAK after new roof installed
I had a new roof installed at my property back in May 2019; since the installation, there has been leaking. I have contacted the company multiple times regarding this leak and have only been given promises that someone would be calling me back to make arrangements to check the roof. It is now September 2019, and I have yet to receive any callback. This is completely unprofessional and is leaving me with no choice but to file a civil lawsuit for faulty installation.

Desired Outcome

repair the issue or refund customer in full

Hi this is *** with Junk Out express I just spoke to you on the telephone. I would like to close out my complaint that client has made arrangements to pay my company in full.

Bentley roofing company installed our roof this fall. Punctured my AC line while installing tar paper & blamed it on the builder of the house and the AC company who installed it. 1200$ later never offered to pay for it, says it happens from time to time and I should call the ac company bc it's their fault. Broke my back patio door, broke my planter out front, never put up tarps to protect my roof from leaking during rainy season, had to do that myself. When they stripped my tile they threw out the two tarps that I put up there. Communication was a pin. Never called back, never responded on email until I got a lawyer involved.
I asked for the insurance information for the roofing company to get my money back from the ac line bc he wasn't going to help me with it. The secretary sent me the name of the company and policy but failed to send me their phone number or agent making it impossible to contact them. When I called and asked for it , owner claimed he didn't know it. He said I could google it.
Product_Or_Service: Roof tile

Desired Outcome

No further contact by the busi His insurance company or Bentley roofing to pay me the 1200$ replacement for the punctured ac line that was replaced by me

Bentley is in receipt of this complaint. After review of this customers file, the job was completed and passed *** inspection and the account was paid in full. Ms. never notified *** regarding the damaged HVAC line until after she had it repaired then expected Bentley to pay her $1200. bill. First let me state that if Ms. did contact Bentley prior, we would have went inspected the damage and tried to help her out. We have contractors that would have repaired then line for 15% of what she paid. We did give Ms. our insurance information, she filed a claim, the insurance company investigated the claim and ultimately denied the claim as it was not Bentleys liability. We were never made aware of any damage to a patio door or a damaged planter until we received this complaint.

To recap, as per our Insurance company and Bentley this repair is not our liability. To file a complaint that effects our business in hopes of recovering monies is just totally unfair.

We would request this complaint be removed from our permanent record as it is not valid and at the very least close this complaint as satisfied and resolved.

Thank you

Satisfied ? By no means am I satisfied.
They stated they had no idea of the broken door, planter or screen., that's bc we stated on the phone that we had a laundry list of things, but we only wanted the $ for the ac line."

Never was 15% offered. That's a lie. *** stated he's "barely making any $ as it is, all my good workers are gone over to the west coast, & he would work w us and to send me the bill." No response ... I continued to email w no response. The only way he responded finally was when I resent it w a lawyer cc'd. Then when it came down to pay the bill he still wouldn't budge, blaming the ac company. He said he was gonna work w us but then we went and got a lawyer involved. I only included a lawyers name on the email bc otherwise he never responded.

Bentley roofing company also stated that he gave us his insurance information. They sent the name and policy number. As I stated before the only way to contact an insurance company is either w an agent or 800 number. I called and requested that and he told me to google it. So I had to get my agent involved and then they gave her the phone number in order to even contact the insurance company.

No communication from the company at all. When u call they say they'll call back and never do. I called four times asking for a tarp to add to my roof. Never was added. I finally talked to someone and he gave me ridiculous excuses about why I couldn't have it done. Then we went and ahead and put it on ourselves. Then when they stripped the roof I never got them back.

My purpose to Complain to Revdex.com is for others to understand that they are not honest, fair, nor do they follow thru as stated. They are sloppy and careless. My complaint is not to get my $$ back bc that ship has sailed. @ this point it's too late.

So to sum it up. .. I wouldn't waste my valuable time not yours to complain unless I have proof or it was worthy of sharing. I would never recommend this company to anyone and that's my purpose. To take his responses for his word is what got me into this mess I'm in now w owing 1200$ extra dollars, but why would he care?

A offer of 15% was never made to the customer. As noted in our original response we simply stated that we could have had the AC line fixed for approximately 15% of what the customer paid. Again, we do not accept responsibility for the damage but would have helped the customer through this as we have a network of contractors that could and would of done this for a fraction of what was charged. Customer never notified us until the A/C line was fixed and at that point demanded we pay. Furthermore, we explained to the customer why the A/C line was installed incorrectly and advised them that they should contact the the company who installed it. Blame was never put on the builder as previously noted in the original complaint. It is clearly evident that the A/C unit was replaced at some point as the lines are now run on the outside of the house and not run through the interior as all builders do. Even with this said we provided the customer with our insurance information. The claim was eventually investigated and denied by our insurance.

Many additional statements outlined in this complaint have been twisted and taken out on context. We understand the frustration of having an event like this occur on any project but the blame is misguided. Only after the bill was paid and insurance claim was denied the customer notes additional damages and communication issues.

We take great pride in serving our customers and stand behind all of our work.

I signed a contract to get a new roof on 02/8/2018. The roof is still not completed
I signed a contract with Bentley roofing on
February 8,2018 and made a down payment of $1000.00. In Exchange Bentley Roofing agreed to commence work within six to eight weeks which they fail to do. The material was delivery to the property on April 23rd. That material sat on my property for over a month which left rust on the driveway. My husband and I call the company on numerous occasion to complain. One manager *** promised he would be at the property and he never showed up. Another manager *** eventually came to the property only to take pictures, he later assigned a replacement crew. The replacement crew laid 30 lb paper and after that the roof was still leaking in new places. They failed to obtain the required inspection so that the work may continue. On the weekend of 5/12 it rain all weekend and we now had new leaks inside which the Manger *** came out and took pictures of our ceiling where there was water damage.

The weekend of May 26th it rained again and we now have new leaks inside in my bedroom I called the company and they send someone out to patch the new roof that they are installing. They fail inspection on 5/29.

On May 31st my attorney send them a letter NOTICE OF DEFAULT AND DEMAND FOR PERFORMANCE which states they had 5 days to resume and 10 days ey failed inspection again on 6/5.

on 6/8 I spoke with *** and he schedule an appointment for someone to come out for 6/16 9AM to clean the rust off the driveway as well as paint the ceiling where the leaks occur after they had already laid 2 set of 30 lb paper. There was a box of garbage by my front door, spatula with tar on my grass. On 6/16 no one showed up. At Approximately 10:37 AM I called *** and he advise me he no longer works for the company and that I need to call and speak with *** the owner of the company. I call left a message and he call back however I missed the call.

on 6/18 I call and spoke with *** and explain all the problems and he apologize and advise me that he would get someone out on Saturday 6/23 to get all the garbage picked up and the driveway clean as well a paint the inside. He would call me back within an hour once he has made all the arrangement. He call me back within 10 minutes to verify if the shingles were already on stating he just wanted to verified the information in his system is correct. He said he would also check with *** for the pictures. As of today 10/28 he has never called me back no did he send anyone out the clean the driveway or paint the ceiling.

The ladder was left on the side my house and no one came back to finish the roof. My husband remove the ladder from the side of the house and left it in the carport. On 9/20 someone from the company came out and put the ladder back up for the inspector. My husband has called the company twice in the last month. On 10/23 he call and was advise inspection was schedule for 10/24. The inspector failed it again on 10/24 because the pictures they left does not belong to my house. So far this roof has failed inspection four times.

Desired Outcome

At this point this is a breach of contract. I would like for them to get all their equipment off my property. I will find someone else to complete the work and I owe them nothing.
