website but I did have it on craigslist priced at $3,500 because of the issue and they could have it for that price if they were willing to take the risk with the noisy converter. He said he was still interested and they drove down to purchase the truck. I reminded him about the issue and told him I had done some research and it turned out to be a very common issue on that particular transmission. I told him to do his own research on it as well, I also told him I could have the torque converter replaced if he would like for an additional $700. I told him he may not have an issue for the life of the vehicle or it could have a problem right away, him purchasing the truck tells me he was more than willing to take that chance for the big price savings. The torque converter could have caused the problem with the transmission as it is what handles how much fluid is passed to the transmission. I also put on the purchase agreement that the "Buyer recognizes torque converter makes noise" and also have a buyers guide that clearly states the vehicle was "Sold AS-IS" to which he also signed. This is certainly not what I wanted to happen, I realize Mr. [redacted] will probably not purchase another car from Bents Motor Company which is certainly the last thing I would like. As far as the tabs go they were sent, I don't know what happened to them as they were sent standard mail with no tracking. I told Mr [redacted]'s girlfriend that if they did not have them by that Monday I would get them a duplicate set and drive them to St James. She called to say they did not come in the mail by that day, however there was a blizzard happening and I asked her if I called the License Bureau there to get it set up if she could get them too save me from driving on terrible roads to which she said she would if I sent her the $11 that the duplicate stickers would cost. I did send them the $11 she had to pay, when Mr. [redacted] called he told me she was able to get the tabs.
