General RV has looked into this complaint.The General RV location in *** *** has attempted to resolve the issueThe customer stated concerns about moldWe have offered to do mold and water intrusion testing. The customer declined the offer The customer also spoke to the
manufacture* *** by phone while at the General RV *** store. The manufacture holds the warranty on the coach , General RV follows manufacturers guidelines on repair. would be willing to pay $500 in goodwill towards expenses incurred during this repair.Please let us know if that is agreeable and I will have the check cut next week.Respectfully, [redacted]Reply from [redacted] Ops manager Canton Ohio General RV,He ordered the Voltage in January of 2015 and was supposed to arrive to us in March but something happened with the factory and didn’t get it to us until May. The unit came in as a 2016 in the system but was actually a 2015 on all the paperwork which was supported by our finance manager at the time of delivery. It was to be believed the unit arrived as a 2016 and told the customer that it was good news that it was a 2016. This is not the case, it is a 2015.We had done several repairs following the Manufacturers guidelines. The repairs were lengthy, and resulted in a complete floor replacement. I spoke to [redacted] several times on these issues and helped get them resolved. [redacted] asked for us to refund him $1500 at the time which was half of his service contract that he purchased, I spoke to [redacted] and agreed that we would pay down his loan $1000 for refund towards his service contract. I offered this to [redacted] and he agreed that this would satisfy him. We sent out the paperwork for him to sign with it noted the agreement which he signed and sent back[redacted]

The Operations manager, Joe Weider, of the Canton store called and offered to help with the cost of exterminating the ants that are in the customers coach.  The customer was appreciative of the call but was not willing to accept the offer.  The conversation became argumentative at which...

time the customer stated he would be better of to "burn the RV up".Joe Weider will attempt to call the customer again in 24 hours to make an offer to help with the extermination cost.We want to help the customer fix the issue on his used coach he purchased form us "as is".  We are hopeful he will allow us to help get rid of the ants. Wade StufftGeneral RV

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint I[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.  We drove all the way in to meet with [redacted]r.  He said because we signed a no refund clause we cannot get our money back. The money was put as a deposit down on the camper and was used in the purcahse of the camper without our permission.    We were told by [redacted] it was ok to sign that clause, that we would still get our money back.  [redacted] could not help us at all. Waste of gas and time to go meet with him.  He could offer us nothing and wanted to know what they could do to redeem themselves.  All he did was apologize for how I was spoken to by the General Manager.  [redacted] did give us his business card and said from now we have any issues to contact him.   The handle to outside door was broke and he did get us a replacement for that.  Other than that we are out $1,000.00.   All he kept saying was it went on the down payment for the camper.   I will not recommend them for any kind of sales at all.   Sneaky and under handed business.

To Revdex.com:   I contacted Mr [redacted] on Wednesday 6/22 and listened to his concerns and tried to address them with offering to pay for an exterminator to come out and eliminate the bugs from the camper.  Mr [redacted] did not accept or refuse at this point but got further angry with the situation and conversation.  Mr [redacted] ended the call by hanging up on me.  I left a voicemail for Mr [redacted] Thursday 6/23 morning and he called me back about 1:30 on Thursday.  He went through his experience again with us and told me his displeasures with his experience and our company.  I offered Mr [redacted] to have an exterminator come out and take care of the insects.  He declined this offer and said he wouldn’t take anything from us and is very unhappy with us and his experience.  He has declined the offer I had made and said he wouldn’t accept anything from us.    _______________________________ Joe Weider Operations Manager General RV Center 3063 Greensburg Rd North Canton, OH 44720 [redacted]

Our Sales Team has been in contact with [redacted] regarding his complaint.  During our conversations we have found miscommunication to be the root cause of the misunderstanding and are working to find [redacted] a coach.

[redacted]Bottom line.  First.  Regarding my comment about burning the camper was nothing more than every man who's had problems with a vehicle at one time or other, has said or thought, that "for fifty cents I'd drive this car off a cliff."  Simply an expression of frustration.  Because I refused your offer to pay for extermination fees doesn't meant it hasn't been treated.  Now I wait.  Even if the process is a success I will still not spend one night in the unit.  As I stated my experience with General RV has left a bad taste in my mouth.  The thought of a re-infestation on the horizon will not allow me to rest.  I wake up every night since this discovery and worry about how I can get rid of this albatross and it would appear that I am between a rock and hard place.  You refuse to buy the unit back, resting on the contractual clause that states, used campers are bought as is.  Taking your offer would absolve you of your responsibility to handle this honorably and with compassion for the buyer. My acceptance of your offer would expunge this claim against you and leave you looking magnanimous at my expense.  As far as I'm concerned there's nothing more to say and I'm on my own.

We have reviewed this complaint and discussed with the manufacturer to verify that new cosmetic items were added to the customers list when they were in to review the completed repairs.  While we understand the frustration from [redacted] most of the concerns they have are cosmetic and we are working diligently with the manufacturer to try and meet their expectations.

I called and talked with [redacted] yesterday 7/25 to schedule a time for them to come in to talk through this situation.  They are on vacation until late this week and will contact me when they return.         ______________________ [redacted] Sales Manager General RV...

Upon review of this complaint we have made contact with [redacted] and assured him that his refund was processed on 1/17/2018.  We are confident that we have addressed all of [redacted] concerns at this time.

We will be glad to continue servicing the customers warranty needs but unfortunately we are not able to accommodate them with a refund on the product.
