We have serviced the issues with their gate on May 27, and August 15, As far as we know, the customer is satisfied

What a bunch of incompetent clowns! On June 20 they made an appointment to come to my house for a fence estimate. They sent a confirmation email. They sent a second confirmation email on June 29 to remind me! Finally, July 1 is here, and 1:00 pm is appointment time. It’s 1:30 and no one has shown up, so I call the company. They mistakenly had me scheduled for July 17! Hmmm…I received no confirmation emails regarding July 17. Ms. Scheduler told me she’d be happy to reschedule me…on August 5! Isn’t that nice that they would put me at the end of the list? When I inquired about this grave injustice, Ms. Scheduler informed me she would indeed put me at the end of the appointment list and give me no consideration for their scheduling blunder. The owners must be very proud of their staff…they can’t handle Google Calendar or some other program that a 4-year-old monkey could handle.

I just installed Cherrywood PVC fence, that looks fantastic. The crew came on time, cleaned up all of their debris on my yard and washed down my PVC to clean debris. Crew was friendly, professional and quick. Will definitely use again.

Review: Bergen Fence installed fencing for us on 3/27/14. Since that time, we've complained several times, that the gate in the driveway side of the property sags, and the gate won't latch. They put in two gates- they came and poorly adjusted one, and a short time later they adjusted the other one. The first one is sagging again, where the gates does not work. This is a continuing problem. We don't know if it this is because of poor installation or poor quality merchandise, but they are refusing to come out to permanently fix this sagging gate which as of today 8/11/14, THE GATE WON'T CLOSE.

Here's a list of calls made during the past 2 weeks, where I've asked them to fix the gate:

On every single call, I asked for someone to come out and repair the driveway side gate, the gate won't latch.

7/24 8:00am - Spoke with [redacted] - she said that someone would come out to do a service call today.

7/25 8:03am - Spoke with [redacted] - she said that she had passed the service call on to her manager and she apologized and that "[redacted]" would call me.

7/25 10:06am - Spoke with [redacted] - she apologized and said that [redacted] was out on an estimate, but that he would call me that day.

7/25 3:50pm - Spoke with[redacted] - she said that [redacted] was in a meeting and that he would definitely call me before end of day.

7/29 8:15am - Spoke with [redacted] - she apologized and said that her manager was not in yet, but that she would call me back.

7/30 9:30am - Spoke with [redacted] - she said that her manager was out in the lot, but that she would ask her to call me.

7/31 8:16am - Spoke with [redacted] - she said that her manager was moving trucks around and that would call me back.

8/9 1:10pm - left voice mail for [redacted] (I believe he is the owner or manager there) to call me, again explaining the same issue (gate won't closed)

8/11 9:03am - spoke with [redacted] - she said that she' putting in a "service call" for the gate.

NOT ONE PERSON has called back or showed up to fix this despite my many calls.Desired Settlement: All that we simply want is for Bergen Fence to fix this gate ONCE and FOR ALL. A PERMANENT fix so that we can use this gate. If they installed the gate improperly, or the merchandise is of poor quality, they have to come out and fix this PERMANENTLY.

Review: I had a new fence installed this past week using Bergen Fence, someone I'd used in the past. While I was happy with the product, I was not happy with the condition the property was left in. The fence in question spans a 60 foot flower bed, which my neighbor had instructed the foreman to avoid, as the upkeep of this area is of considerable expense. The fence was to be installed on my neighbors side of the property as we had discussed with the salesperson but clearly this was never communicated. In several areas of the flower bed, entire areas of plants had been replaced with bricks, rocks and clay. The fence is also a foot lower then it should have been since, the fence was placed on a lower area of the property. I was disturbed by the indifference to which all of the plants were either smothered under clay or were simply gone. Additionally, there are large rocks, strewn across the area, bricks were removed from the flower beds, one rock in particular had to weigh over 40 lbs and was just left there. I spent the better part of my weekend removing this debris, which included a reciprocating saw blade where my 2 year old plays and a length of cut electric cord which I cannot even imagine where it came from.Desired Settlement: I would like a $200 credit which I estimate it will cost to have my landscaper repair the beds and to replace the perennials with adequate replacements. This represents 5% of the total cost, I think this would be a fair settlement.

Our company was not pleased with these issues. Our workers do not leave these items behind and know to clean up better. We handled this issue internally and will issue the $200.00 credit to the customer as he requests along with our sincerest apology. Bergen Fence prides itself on care and service and can be assured this will never be repeated.
