Review: In September 2013, I requested a rental booking of [redacted] Asbury Ave in Ocean City NJ for the price Berger advertised for the week of June 28, 2014. They sent me a lease with the same rent listed on the website, $1450., and I signed it and returned multiple copies with a deposit of $160. Today, December 14, I received a letter in the mail from the realtor, stating, vaguely "Enclosed is a letter I recieved today. I will process the deposit check and get it back to you. It seems that the owners are becoming reluctant to reduce their rental rates....I am sorry that this happneed, but we can find something else when you are ready." -[redacted] The attachment was a private letter from the owner to the realty company saying that this rate was too low, it was unauthorized and unacceptable and that the property was not available. The writer of the letter implies that I attempted to underpay.

There were no negotiations on the price and I submitted a request for the rental based on the rate and dates that Berger advertised for the property for 2014. I agreed to pay price listed by Berger for the week of June 28th, the most popular in the summer. Now I have no reservations, but have arranged for travel and time off for my entire family that week.Desired Settlement: Berger Realty must offer me a comparable rental to [redacted] Asbury (sleeps 10, a few blocks from the beach, wifi + grill). for the same or a similar rate for the week of June 28th 2014 within 45 days. Thank you.
