April 1, 2016Dear *** ***,Thank you for bringing to our attention a recent complaint submission involving our businessAs a family owned business since we understand the importance of seeing that every customer concern receive our full attentionIn the complaint submission, the consumer
states that they knowingly purchased a *** *** (odometer at time of purchase was 106,miles)In accordance with regulations the vehicle had a posted "As Is" Buyer's GuideAdditionally, our service department completed Pennsylvania State Inspections and emissions for this vehicleAn "As Is" vehicle is purchased with the consumer acknowledging that it is without warranty.The *** *** was offered for $3,695.00; at the time of purchase we entered into an agreed selling price of $3,with the consumer as they expressed their desire to arrive at a total purchase price of $3,after tax and tags.Upon being contacted after purchase and delivery of the *** *** - we, in good faith, extended the courtesy of performing additional service work on an "As Is" vehicle in our sincere effort to go above and beyond to assist our customer.Bergey's Chevrolet remains committed to ensuring that our dealership not only fulfills our obligations regarding regulations for automotive dealership operations, but to conduct business in a manner that exceeds industry standards as wellIn this matter, by completing the service work after purchase of an "AS is' vehicle - Our obligation as a retailer has been fulfilled and has exceeded that which is required.Sincerely,Brian DGeneral Manager

September 19, 2016Dear *** ***,Thank you for bringing to our attention a recent complaint submission involving our businessAs a family owned business since we understand the importance of seeing that every customer concern receive our full attention.In the complaint submission, the
consumer states their concern regarding pricing and availability on specific inventory.Throughout the month, franchise dealerships receive an allowance of incentives for models - called "Select Model Bonus Tag"The number of tags is based on an algorithm of vehicle sales (from a designated selling cycle) and an inventory calculation at a particular date in the selling cycle.This allowance (or allocation) varies each month and is clearly stipulated in national, regional and local advertising as "Select Models"Within the allocation period - dealers are provided with a limited selection time period; once the selection has been made - the selection on individual vehicles cannot be reversed or transferred to other in stock vehicles.Inventory listed on our dealership website and displayed on our premises is available for purchase based on a "first come' basisOnce a customer provides their intent to purchase with financing the vehicle is secured via a "Purchase Agreement".In review of the consumer's complaint it appears that an inquiry about available inventory was made; however, since the consumer did not finalize with a purchase agreement the specific vehicle with the "Select Model Bonus Tag" incentive was purchased by another consumerOur representative made every effort possible to provide as many options as possible, However, since the selection phase has since closed and no further allocation was Available - the model closest in specifications was not able to represent any additional savings.Sincerely,Brian DGeneral Manager
