Since my wife and I were married we have purchased and repaired all of our cars at Bergey's Chevrolet (37 years). Recently I have an electrical problem with my 2013 Chevy ***. When the car sits for a period of time, depending on the outdoor temperature, the battery will go dead. Something is still drawing power while the car is turned off. I dropped off the car at Bergey's Service Dept.. On two occasions the car was worked on with no results. They charged me a total of $672.96 for time worked and also a new battery which they insisted I needed. The condition has not changed. the battery still goes dead every day.

Thank you for bringing to our attention a recent complaint submission involving our business. In the complaint, the consumer states their concern regarding an electrical issue with a 2013 Chevrolet ***. This vehicle was purchased from our dealership on November 22, 2013 as a Certified, Pre-Owned vehicle with 19,959 miles at the time of delivery.

As customer concerns are our number one priority - our service manager has made arrangements with *** to bring the vehicle in for further testing and diagnostics.

We do apologize for the delay in response as we first received this notification/letter on Monday, April 8th and are unsure as to the delay in receipt of your letter to our office.

I'm sorry I did not check my e-mail for several days and missed when the complaint was sent to Bergey's. They responded to me immediately after they received the complaint. They kept the car for a few days and were able to identify the problem. They repaired it and returned it to me at no charge. I am very satisfied with the service provided to me by Service Manager Joe M. He did everything he could to satisfy my needs. Please change your records to reflect the good response from Bergey's Chevrolet Service Department.Thanks

states that they knowingly purchased a 2004 [redacted] (odometer at time of purchase was 106,875 miles). In accordance with regulations the vehicle had a posted "As Is" Buyer's Guide. Additionally, our service department completed Pennsylvania State Inspections and emissions for this vehicle. An "As Is" vehicle is purchased with the consumer acknowledging that it is without warranty.The 2004 [redacted] was offered for $3,695.00; at the time of purchase we entered into an agreed selling price of $3,245.16 with the consumer as they expressed their desire to arrive at a total purchase price of $3,700.00 after tax and tags.Upon being contacted after purchase and delivery of the 2004 [redacted] - we, in good faith, extended the courtesy of performing additional service work on an "As Is" vehicle in our sincere effort to go above and beyond to assist our customer.Bergey's Chevrolet remains committed to ensuring that our dealership not only fulfills our obligations regarding regulations for automotive dealership operations, but to conduct business in a manner that exceeds industry standards as well.
