I have proof that my car PT Cruiser has been consider a totaled in and it is not fair by any means I was almost able to get a vehicle if it was not for this issue so if I trade my car in what year would I trade into and I honestly don't feel I should have to pay full price due to the fact I have paid on this car not knowing all the issues and clearly I didn't sign the carfax because that is one thing you don't have a copy of because honestly I didn't get the proper paper, I am not trying to get over on anyone I feel Bergalund has gotten over on me and this is not right! Is there something better you can offer or I would just like the money I have paid back please , Thank You!

I spoke with the
Customer on several occasions and explained that while we are very sorry that
she is unhappy with the length of time it has taken for her car loan to show up
on her credit report Berglund uses a
credit bureau reporting service called *** to report consumer
information
to *** has confirmed that they received the Customer’s
information from us in April and reported to *** in May 2014. We have requested that *** resubmit the
customer’s information again and they have confirmed that this will take place
on Monday, June 9th, I
have assured the Customer that once the loan posts to her credit profile, it
will reflect all payments she has made towards her car loan.
Unfortunately we are
unable to simply void her car loan and return her down payment since the loan
originated almost months ago and is a legally binding document. We discussed the option of trading in her
current car for a different vehicle but advised that due to the principal
amount she owes on her current loan, trading would be a better option for her
in the future but that we would of course support her decision provided that
financing is approved

*** *** *** purchased a Dodge Intrepid on March 12, 2014. As to my knowledge the car was in good running condition on the day she took delivery. We run all cars through our service department and do a point check to fix all issues and problem found. In reference to
Mrs***’s complaint, she came in on March 12, to purchase a vehicle and stated she had credit issues and need help with the financing. We accessed the situation and gave her vehicle that she could purchase with the amount of money that she had to put downOne in which was the vehicle that she purchasedThe others were a Ford Taurus and Ford FocusMs*** decided that she preferred the Intrepid.
The following day Ms*** brought the car in late in the afternoon with the service engine light onShe was told that she would need to bring the car back and drop it off so that our service department could assess the problemIt was too late in the afternoon for the service department to be able to access the issue. She made and appointment for the next day and she did not bring the car in. We made roughly appointments with her in which she never brought the car in. Then on March 25th Ms*** brought the vehicle in and dropped it off to be accessed and fixed. The service department has accessed the issue with the vehicle and it is now being repaired at no cost to Ms*** under warranty.
In the complaint Ms*** stated that she was told that she had a day buy back guarantee. She was not told that she had a day buy back guarantee, she was told that she had a day power train warrantyThis was explained to her not only verbally but in writing in which she signed stating that she was notified.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
As of June 13, 2014 I have yet to see anything from Berglund Credit Line reflect on my current credit report. I bought the vehicle on Jan 17,2014 and that does not calculate for 6 months. Its only been approximately 5 months and I am just now seeing that the vehicle is not showing on the credit report. I would not have known it wasn't reflecting after a few weeks. This is the reason why I want out of the contract and my deposit back so I can go to a dealership that does report and will not provide me with false information and excuses every time I call. They stated that the company would be reporting on June 9,2014 and again this is false information. I was told when I bought the vehicle that it would reflect 30 days after my first payment, again this is false information and the credit report shows it did not reflect in that amount of time. I am asking to no longer be obligated to this contract as they have not been providing any information as they stated when vehicle was purchased. I am requesting to be refunded my $500 deposit and to be released from all obligations from the 1999 ford mustang.

Mrs. [redacted] purchased a 2003 PT Cruiser from Berglund Credit Line on September 10, 2011 (copy of originial invoice attached). At the time of purchase this vehicle had 66,715 miles on it (copy of mileage statement attached). Mrs. [redacted]s transmission went out in March 2012, 6 months after...

the purchase date. The warranty on the vechicle was 1 month 1,000 miles. When Mrs. [redacted] brought the car in for the transmission repair it had 12,000 miles put on it. We repaired her transmission at 50% of cost under waranty even though the car was out of warranty and financed the remaining balance at $45.00 biweekly at 0% interest.
Mrs. [redacted] stated that she was given a Car fax at the time of sale that showed no accidents. she was provided a Car fax Branded title check at the time of sale, in which she signed (copy attached), showing that the car did not have a branded title. We pulled a car fax on 1/22/2014 (copy attached) it shows that in 2005 there was an impact on the right front of the vehicle with another vehicle and the other vehicle was reported as totaled, not Mrs. [redacted]s PT Cruiser.
If Mrs. [redacted] would like to trade in her PT Cruiser we will be happy to assist her.

Review: I purchased a PT Cruiser around November 2011 from Berglund Credit Line in Roanoke VA, My Sales person name was [redacted]. I did in house financing came to about $13000 after intrest. it had 76000 miles and seemed to be an ok car. My warranty was 30 days or 1000 miles. I asked [redacted] for a CarFAX and came back with a CarFax that said no accidents no reports made, this is my first car so I took it left. Two months later my Transmission went out and Berglund said they could fix it for $2200.00 but I had to pay half which was $1100.00 I thought that was pretty high but they said I wouldn't get a better deal anywhere else and I agreed and they added it on to my payments each pay period. I recently decided to try to trade my car at [redacted] for a updated car and the guy at [redacted] pulled a CarFax up by my VIN number on my PT Cruiser and it said that this car has been TOTALLED. they could not do anything with a trade in because of this matter. I called [redacted] and just asked him if they dealt with totaled car on there lot he said no, that is not how they have been in business for over 30 years. I called [redacted] on January 22,2014 and asked [redacted] if he could send me a copy of my CarFax.He said it should be in my file and asked for my fax# and phone# just in case he has any problems. He called me back 10 minutes later and said there is no copy in my file and he does remember giving me one but he can not pull up another CarFax on my Car anymore.he I asked why and he said he didn't know he just cant pull it up anymore.he asked me why did I need it and told him I need it for my records. I am very upset because I was lied to, giving a Fake Carfax and had to keep Full coverage insurance with a 500 dedutible on this car I am still making payments with maybe $2000 left to pay. This is not right I would like something done.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back that I have had to pay for this car if not all of it at least Half. I can not trade this car anywhere at all and it made me look very foolish at [redacted] when I tried to trade for a new car.

Review: I put a down payment of 2100$ with burgland credit line on March 12,2014, for a Dodge intrepid 1998. I was informed by the sales Rep that the car was in good running condition. That same evening after leaving from their office the check engine light came on, I immediately called and the following day I drove the vehicle back to their lot. The sales Rep that sold me the car drove it and said everything would be fine. A couple days into having the vehicle it began to jerk, rattle, and wouldn't allow me to go over a certain speed. I then called them back and addressed the problem with them over the phone as well as the car not starting. I was told that I'd be refunded the 2100 because of dissatisfaction. Today March 21St at around 12:15am the car wouldn't start and I was stuck at work.I informed the sales Rep that I would be bringing the car to get a refund. I called around 11am to inform him that I would be by, he proceeded to tell me that I'm not able to get a refund that they would fix what ever problem there is with the car. He informed me on the day of getting the car that I have 30 days to bring the car back if I'm not satisfied. I spoke with his manager and informed him as well of what was going on and what I was told day I got the car. The sales Rep even offered me another car if I payed the difference. The manager told me that I don't get any refund of my money or a different car, that all they could do is fix it for me. It hasn't been 30 days and they are denying me a refund which I was told the same day of getting the car that I could bring it back if I wasn't satisfied with the car, I don't know what to do at this point because I am out of a car and the money I was promised back within 30days of the purchase.Desired Settlement: I would like for my money back so I can take my business elsewhere

[redacted] purchased a 1998 Dodge Intrepid on March 12, 2014. As to my knowledge the car was in good running condition on the day she took delivery. We run all cars through our service department and do a 75 point check to fix all issues and problem found. In reference to Mrs. [redacted]’s complaint, she came in on March 12, 2014 to purchase a vehicle and stated she had credit issues and need help with the financing. We accessed the situation and gave her 3 vehicle that she could purchase with the amount of money that she had to put down. One in which was the vehicle that she purchased. The others were a 2001 Ford Taurus and 2007 Ford Focus. Ms. [redacted] decided that she preferred the Intrepid.

The following day Ms. [redacted] brought the car in late in the afternoon with the service engine light on. Review: [redacted] and I bought 300M Chrysler 2004 on March 2012. At first time we ready to take the car with us, and the car needed battery jump and run pretty well. So we moved to Columbus, Ohio and that when the car start stop running anymore. We took the car to shop and say the car needed new battery. The car stopped running again to take it back to shop again and state it needed PCM assembly, OBDII computer scan, and alternator repair. There are two reason we unable to get the car repair asap because of the car is in Ohio and also we only have one month warranty. And also our car unable to drive-able and sitting by our home for a year. So we removed insurance off of the car so we able to save the money to get it repair, and they force us to keep insurance on the car because of agreement we sign the paper.Desired Settlement: To have the car repair and or to have them pay for car insurance that we haven't drive the car since then.

Business

Response:

Mr. [redacted] never contacted our office after he had left the lot to let us know the car need a battery, if the battery needed to be replaced it would have been done at delivery or the next day. There is a loan on this vehicle and the contract states that full coverage insurance must be in force until the loan is paid in full. There was a one month warranty on the vehicle at time of sale, that warranty expired on 4/19/12. Therefore we will not cover any repairs nor will we pay for the insurance coverage that is a requirement .

Review: In February 2014 I purchased a 1999 Ford Mustang from Berglund Credit Line in hoping to rebuild my credit after bankruptcy. I had previously purchased a vehicle from another dealership and they failed to report to the credit bureau in order to help my credit, therefore I went to Berglund where they advised me they would report to the credit bureau within 30 days and would be able to rebuild my credit successfully. After 3 months of making payments I had contacted the credit bureau to find out that Berglund was not reporting the auto loan to the credit bureau. I spoke with several different managers upon finding out this information and they advised me that they didn't have to report anything to the credit bureau and it was a courtesy. I have asked for a refund of my deposit and to be able to turn the car back in with no obligations due to not meeting the agreement that was in place at the time the car was bought. They advised me that it was to late to turn the car in since I have had it for quite some time, but the issue is just now occurring and I am just now finding out that the agreement has not been met by Berglund. I am very unhappy at the way that I have been treated and not been giving any opportunity to reverse this agreement with Berglund. I am hoping that this can be resolved in a timely manner and be given the opportunity to be let out of my contract and refunded my $500 deposit. I do not feel that Berglund has honored their agreement with me and the customer service that was provided to me has been very dissatisfying.Desired Settlement: A refund of my $500 deposit and have no obligation to the vehicle.
